I'm interested in a set of these as well. The dealer 'gave' me a set of the Carerra S decals when I bought the car. The stone guards collect so much dirt along the edge (especially on a white car). How difficult is it to remove the factory stone guards?

Mr O…it's not difficult. Warm them with a hairdryer or heat gun and gently peel. Use 3M adhesive remover to eliminate any remaining adhesive.

They look great on a yellow car. The guards come larger than the OEM clear guards. What I did was apply them (car is warm indoors) and after a week or so the outlined edge of the clear becomes evident in the black guard. Pulled them off and trimmed with a scissors. Now they look closer to the original early Turbo cars.
Great quality product, highly recommend.
Best, Bret.

Just spoke with Dan on the phone (cool guy!) and ordered a set of the CF guards for my car. Will post pictures once I get them and put them on.

Just a note...the Magnetic Guards Dan sells are smaller than OEM. This is because there is a wrapping issue for a magnetic guard at the lower edge. The guard has to cling around the curve of the top of the rocker panel. They still look great on a white car even though they're a bit smaller. These are the CF versions even though you can't tell in the picture.

great looking product. The black looks awesome on the white paint but I want to see pix of the white on white before I order. Thanks Dan and to OP

Keep forgetting to put this up. Black on aqua blue metallic.

I really like them as the clear was taking heavy abuse on my C4S. Taking off the clear requires some patience.

Default Martini Stone Guard

I have been meaning to post this for awhile also. I live in Cincinnati where Magnagrafik is located. I had Dan create a Martini hood stripe and bought the Stone Guards after removing the old clear ones first (they were starting to yellow). I really like the look on white.

Anybody know where I can get these for a 991 4S in the UK or Europe. All the sources I have found are in the US.

I'm really interested in stone guards, but can't find any 991 on the catalog. Do they make it for 991?
