Everyone
I just added my car to the 50th Anniversary Registry. I have not had a 911 for 5 years or so while driving Boxsters and using Cayennes as my daily driver. I forgot how amazing the 911 is. This 50 th 911 car is absolutely fantastic. If you get one, you will never want to part with it.

Hello Everyone -
I would like to hear from owners about their driving impressions on the 50th anniversary car. I keep getting asked if I am going to track mine (answer is "no"), but would like to hear how people are enjoying the cars everyday or on longer trips.

I love mine. I don't think I'm going to track it. This car is amazing, I don't like to drive my 13 S6 anymore... The weather here has been great I drive it everyday. It will be my DD soon, since I'm on the waiting list for a GT3.

Finally surpassed the 2k mile break in - so more to come. But even keeping it around the mellow part of the Tach was amazing. The difference between the 50th and 40th cannot be described.

Thanks for responding rsd and Douglass. I only have about 110 miles on mine due to bad weather. Looking forward to some long trips this summer. My last 911 was a 996 also and thie difference is like night and day.

I'm looking forward to my 50th Anniversary in graphite grey, expected delivery later this month.
By way of introduction, I have owned a '98 GT3, a '12 GTS, '12 Porsche Turbo. To me, the 50th Anniversary model with the Powerkit and manual is the most desirable Porsche available. I disliked the hop in corners at speed with the 997 model, and the longer wheelbase of the 991 should be a significant improvement. I've driven the 991 on the track and most of this was dialed out -- this is a perfect replacement for the 997 GT3 I owned. I was tempted with the current GT3 but prefer a manual without a "look at me" rear wing.
I'm guessing my edition will number 1,200 - 1,300 -- no big deal there. There are quite a few 50th models online at cars. com, but I suspect some of these are "bait" to drum up dealer inquires. But I know the availability of this model is real -- it's not too late for anyone to buy one.
Question for the group: Is anyone putting film (Xpel) on their cars -- at least a half-wrap?
