Here is a question to everyone who has a 50th anniversary 911

Is the top of dash center sport chrono gauge illuminated when the lights are on ?

On my car, it is not illuminated when the lights are on. Representatives at my dealer seem uncertain. They will be checking with Porsche on Monday. But in the meantime, I thought I would ask the group.

Nope. Never noticed until you raised the question.

If it works the same as it does on the 997 it only illuminates if the lights are AND you're using the timer. Otherwise, its dark.

There is still a lot of 911_50s available around the U.S., which you can point out to your dealer when negotiating the price. Good luck!
My local dealer has two - a black one and a very interesting dark gray. I am sure they would be happy to get rid of them. And I am sure that I would get a super deal on one. I am just too attached to my duck tail to let her go unless it is for another car with a wing. And the lack of ventilation in the houndstooth cloth seats is a deal breaker for me. I need that ventilation in the summer to keep from sweating in a suit.

Thanks for the replies. If it does not light up, that seems odd. That guage is illuminated on the Cayman / Boxster. I will have to try and locate that thread on the main 991 forum.

I'm sure you're right. Out of curiosity, what dealer? (And I'm a ducktail fan, too.)

Default Chrono light

TRICK; Turn on chrono and turn off but don't reset.
It will always come on.

Is the gray 991 50th color the same as the gray/black offered on the 997.2 gt3 RS?

Graphite Grey - C2C2 (achatgrau uni)
Geyser Grey Metallic - 9G5 (geysirgrau)
Grey Black - 7A1 (grauschwarz)

As far as I know, the only way to get Graphite Grey, right now, is to get a 991 50th. It is not on the approved PTS list, nor is it even up for feasibility review.
