if it's been painted on 991 in mass production, how could it need a "feasibility review"?

I think Eduardo might be the right person to answer that but from what I seem to remember, Porsche does not want to give the "special colors" of the limited editions to the "normal" cars.
I think it was also impossible to get the grey of the Sport Classic for any other 997.

Like that, the limited editions stay a bit more special...

Yeah, I just realized I wasn't super clear about that. I meant that it's not even being considered for PTS yet (which is what I consider the "feasibility review" step to represent -- more than just whether or not the paint itself can hold up to weathering, etc., etc).

Indeed. Eduardo's the man in this case (well, in many other cases too, heh).

But yeah, you're right, Sport Classic Grey (63A) has not been made available via PTS, and I suspect PAG will keep it that way.

I believe Brewster Green and Pascha Red have both been available via PTS. Brewster Green was from the limited-edition Club Coupe and Pascha Red was from the GUM/Russian 50th anniversary model. These are just off the top of my head. Eduardo can correct me if this is wrong.

For those who are shopping, I was able to get 7% off MRSP for a 50th on the lot.

Picking it up next week.

For any that are still left on dealer lots when the 2015 cars are released, do you think Porsche will re-badge them like this?

Haha. Aren't 2014's technically 51 anyway since it was the 50th anniversary in 2013?

Show car was '63 in September as a 1964 model, production began in '64.

Question Everyone ...

Has anyone looked into whether the "911-50" door sills can be modified by the dealers to be illuminated ?

Had a chance today to take an up close look at a 911 50 in Graphite Gray. Wow, did I like that color! Very tastefully done with black/dark silver houndstooth interior. It's a shame the car is essentially built the way I would do it - now I will be stuck dreaming about it.

I always liked the Porsche Lettering on the older 911 models. Now I'm thinking about these for my 911 50:

Opinions? Infantile? Will they ruin the classic look of the 911 50 or will they bring it to perfection? I am really ambivalent...

Last thing you want to do is take a special edition that is based on appearance and change the appearance. OTOH, this is easily removable. For when you come back to your senses.
