My 991 arrived but my salesman didn't....

They aren't doing anything out of the ordinary. The problem was the car came in early and my salesperson was on vacation. If I took delivery from another salesperson, my guy was going to lose his commission. I had promised him I would wait. I did not think it was fair for him to lose out when all it meant was for me to wait a week. I'll have many days, weeks and years with the car. One more week's wait didn't seem worth it.

Well it's that day!. I plan on a 90 minute yoga class this morning followed by lunch and I plan to be at the dealer by 1:30pm today. Unfortunately sunny Florida isn't very sunny this morning. No matter. And yes to the query about when I wanted to pick up the car. It could have been any Friday, Sat or Sunday. My sales guy didn't get back until the 25th, the Saturday of the holiday weekend. The car arrived at the dealership on the 21st. So there was no other earliest time I could get it except today so he could deliver it.
I'll give a blow by blow later, hopefully with pictures, weather dependent.
As a preview, I got black/black with 20" Carrera classic wheels, colored Porsche wheel emblems, clear side marker, sport design steering wheel, PDCC, Prem. plus with 14-way seats, PSE, sport chrono, spacers, bose, full tint, black xenons/pdls.

Hope you have a great day Lonnie, and that you are very happy with your new ride.
I'm in ft. lauderdale on business frequently, maybe I'll see you on the road, or meet you at Brewzzi in Boca for a tuna sandwich!

I had a very exciting time picking up the car. It had been raining all day but when I got to the dealer, the sun was shinning and my car was sitting there ready to be picked up. As you can imagine, they had everything ready and it literally took me 10 minutes to sign the paperwork.
My sales guy showed me the usual features of the car. I was really taken by the effect of the tint with the color and the black pdls lights. As strange as it sounds, the extra waiting time made it so much more special.
These are a few pictures I took when I got home. By then, the weather had turned cloudy again. You might say, "it's just another991C2S" but the difference is it's mine and I'm ready to rumble....
