Lonnie I think you should change your avatar... Something with the new car would be sweet

I had my first 911 in 1971 when I was stationed in Germany with the Army. Picked it up at the old factory that was like several shoe boxes next to one another. I remember my first factory tour, every car was hand pushed to the next station of construction when the workers were done with their part.
I strayed over the years with some Ferrari's and other toys. I had a couple of GT3's which were a bit more raw then this car is. But YES, it is good to be back driving a manual Porsche.

I think you're right. Time for a change. Avatar is from 1971, my first Porsche 911T in Germany. This picture is the now:

I'll leave this for awhile and then I'll change the avatar again to a present shot with the new car as the theme.

When I bought my last turbo, my sales guy blew me off on the phone, bc he was too busy trying to lease some guy a boxster to take my call(7th Porsche). I simply called the sales manager and bought directly from him. It was a bitter, but valuable lesson for the sales guy.
Congrats on the car!

Congrats Lonnie, the car looks fantastic.
You handled this delivery situation well, as you know its not about anyone else. Good to see that you didn't let this delay of delivery spoil your experience of buying a new Porsche.
Not worth getting mad or upset about it.

I can do you one better: 3 years ago wanted to buy a Panamera; only 1 dealer in Indy so not much competition. After spending some time with salesman, then talking back and forth about a week, I decided to buy elsewhere because between my trade and sales price on car it was $20k difference between the deal, they wouldn't budge. A few days later I got a letter from dealership saying my future business was no longer welcome, and that I should compensate the dealer/salesman for the time spent or wasted on me! Needless to say, 5 new cars later I haven't been near that place, they lost a lot a sales and referrals as well.

I would've sent that letter directly to PCNA! That's outrageous!

P.S. To the OP : Congrats on a beautiful car!
