My turn. Not a spirited drive at all, never left our city limits. Highest speed limit was 45. We went looking for a new bedroom set. 1 store, about 6 miles from our house. We were in there for about an hour, came out, it started and died. After the 6th try, I called roadside assistance.
Waiting for the tow truck will have to be a rant thread on it's own, but after nearly 2 hours I drove it on the flatbed. We'll see what the dealer has to say tomorrow.

My service adviser said it's the spacer issue. Also, that there was a service bulletin issued for cars built after Sept 9th. That doesn't make any sense. I would hope by then, they had the problem sorted out.
The only code they found was for trying to start it without the key. I know that didn't happen. The key was in my pocket the whole time.

Yes, this happened to my C4S with PDK today. Drove 10 minutes down to the post office, got back in the car 5 minutes later and it did to want to start. Ran the starter engine 3-4 times for 5 seconds each, no ignition. Then it finally started, only to die after 3 seconds with every possible symbol lightning up in the instrument cluster. Checked the petrol, the oil, the battery, all good. No error messages in PCM.
While this happened I was unable to disengage the parking brake.
Then after another 1-2 tries it fired up again, I put it in Sport mode and drove home with no issue.
Never happened before.
