My Targa has PSE and it's absolutely worth the price.
The car is well behaved (but still sounds great) with it off, and gains a nice level of throatiness when on.
When Sport or Sport Plus are engaged, it gets throatier still...and the burble/pop when you let off the gas is so addictive I found myself driving too slowly because I kept doing it.

Best quote I got for my C2S was from Sonnen, which I believe was $1k (or a little less) for labor. I'd need to check the paperwork. Other quotes were for up to $2k for install, which was a joke. So I had Sonnen do mine and they did a great job and very quick. They quoted up to 8 hours to do it, but got it done in about 4 hours.
