PSE makes me more aggressive on the throttle for some reason.

Mine came in $3100 (no sales tax in OR and used coupon at Sunset)......you will love it, especially in a cab. Be nice if PSE was like the useless Engine Kill button and can be turned on/off as a memory setting

Do you have manual or PDK transmission? Since you do not have PSE I assume you do not have Porsche Sport Mode (PSM) as well. PSM is a must have with PSE. With PSM you get a software update that reprograms your engine and PDK Trans, included are "Sport and Sport plus" buttons and "launch control" that bring out a totally new beast in your 991. This upgrade can only be done by a Pcar dealer and runs $1200-1500 installed. I did mine in Feb for 1200 including labor. Dealer needs your VIN to order upgrade from Porsche, it only take about an hour to install.

I have sport chrono and 7spd, not PDK. I have not heard any difference of opinion for PSE based on PDK vs. 7spd. Is there a difference?

You only get launch mode with PDK, but that's not what I'm after.

There isn't any difference between manual or PDK with PSE. The difference is with PCM between manual and PDK. PCM retunes the automatic transmission's shifting patterns. As an example in Sport-plus it locks out 7th gear in the PDK.

I picked up the original exhaust system parts from my 991S today (having had PSE installed earlier in the week). The technician told me that they are a nice upgrade for a 991- the larger capacity making for a freer flowing system, and the twin pipe tips replacing the ovals.

Anyone have any information on this? They would go at a good price to a worthy home!

I put mine on eBay, it took a couple of months, but they sold this week for $400 w/o tips. Best to list them as "Buy it now" on eBay.

I got quoted $4,250 plus tax from Porsche of Fairfield CT and $3,753 from Porsche of Long Branch NJ!!

I remember reading someone that someone simply purchased the center muffler and had it installed at the dealer for considerable savings. Any thoughts?

so the standard exhaust on the 991S is an upgrade for someone with a 991 non S model right?

Drove home in the rain, it snowed last night. I can't win. Can't report back.

That is what the Porsche tech told me. The change from the oval pipes to the 4 round ones alone would be cool; I had not known about the advantage of the higher flow rate for the exhaust.
