Yes they fixed the lines to match up with the curves of the car.

Looks great dude!
I like how the vent compliments the side vents on the bumper.

Any pricing info?

Still curious how you have disabled wing deployment for the three states of:
- Speed
- Sun Roof open
- ECU just thinking it just needs more air inflow

as well as Brake Light wiring not functioning

as each of these needs to be addressed is my understanding which is non trivial. I know Techart has a special box under the passenger seat to deal with some of this.

You can use the ThinkDiag+ to raise that deployment speed above 200 mph. See huge ThinkDiag thread in this section.

Thanks I posted the link from eBay in the earlier post. It was around $500-600.

That is true... BUT that only addresses the first bullet point. From what I have researched, the wing will STILL deploy when "sun roof" is adjusted (think about how wing angle is more extreme when that is ussed) AND also may still deploy, despite speed settings, if the ECU thinks it needs more air etc... I have talked to people who have TechartII wings and they have tried many many things including the thinkDiag... but it does not work 100% unless you go the full under seat box etc... and even then...will throw error codes... hence my Qs for all three issues...

.1 cars have a "fixed wing" option that can be coded. But it seems like .2 do not have that available sadly. So you have to resort to "tricking" the actual system with actual hard wired devices to do so... and even then does not seem to work perfectly from what I have been told.

@Renn-911 That looks fantastic!! I'm hoping there is a product soon that is more out-of-the-box ready-to-go to eclipse what you've got there.

Good info! I wasn't aware of the other issues. I don't have a sunroof otherwise I would test this

I haven’t reprogrammed anything yet. I plan to take the car to the shop next week to have the wing system properly disabled. In the meantime, I’ve removed the fuse that controls the wing’s automatic deployment. Since installing the ducktail with the vent and driving over 150 miles, I haven’t experienced any issues related to high oil temperatures or any temps issues.

Interesting. Fuse might make the most sense. But I assume fuse out throws a warning on the dash at startup? But it’s a good idea. Heh. Can’t wait to hear if shop can disable and how it works out.
