991.2 ECU tune
I recently picked up a 991.2 with pse and chrono. I’ve been doing a little research and from everything I find it seems like you can easily pick up around 100hp with a simple relatively inexpensive tune. I have cpo and do not want to void that.
1. does anyone here have real world experience with these “tunes”
2. Does this added hp have any negative effects on the car
3. does this void the cpo
any additional info is greatly appreciated

Fabspeed tune on my 991.2S.
Claimed 90hp gain.
VERY noticeable from a performance perspective, not at all noticeable from a driveability perspective.
Bumps up boost maybe 2 psi and advances the timing a few degrees. Fairly conservative. You just need to commit to 93 octane.
I have a tune on my AMG and it's very obvious from a driveability perspective.
No noticeable negative effects in the 1 year plus it's been installed.

Your questions sound a lot like mine when I first began my search for a tune. After researching for nearly a year, I went with Softronic which offered the greatest peace of mind along with a significant increase in performance. Read the threads above and give Softronic a call. Scott (owner & developer) will take his time and patiently answer all your questions and concerns.

FVD 93 octane tune. IMPRESSIVE power and INCREDIBLE drivability increase. More power in lower RPM and comes on more linear. Excellent throttle response and screams up high. No way I'd go back to stock.

I went with Cobb on mine back in 2020 and Im very happy with the result of the tune. Its a slippery slope getting into which tune company is "better". Do a bunch of research before you commit but know asking here will create a circus

I've been seriously thinking about it but the only thing that really scares me is losing the warranty on the PDK. If it's the Same exact PDK as in the Turbo, that has I believe 550 horsepower, then it should be able to take it but I don't know if it is. Can someone confirm if the pdk's are the same for all models? I heard a PDK can be 25k us$ +. so that's an expensive bill out of warranty.

Crap shoot with any high tech Trans, Unless your gonna be hammering on it ALL THE TIME its unlikely to fail as a result of these tunes. If your gonna be hammering on it all the time your more likely to end up dead or without a right to drive any more, lol

Today its seems dealer interpretations of CPO covered things can vary widely from place to place. Im hearing there are tune friendly dealers, it seems mine is, but if you blew some critical engine component from over boost due to the tune or something like that Im not sure friendly would help. Have a window motor fail its unlikely they will say they cant help cause of the tune. See where Im going here?? I love CPO as thats all I usually buy but the tune is worth it.

I don't know about CPO warranty but right after I got my new 2019 C2, the APR tune was released and I immediately took it to another local Porsche dealer whose service manager installs APR for no extra charge. I return to that dealer for maintenance and would not expect them to be hypocritical by denying a warranty repair if one was ever needed. APR tune has been problem free for over 3 years. I like that it allows a slight power boost and allegedly better mpg in normal mode and much more power in sport/sport + modes.

I didnt necessarily have a bad experience but I got tired of him talking about things he knew most people wouldn't understand and that were not really relavent to my cars. A little too much smoke show and salesmanship for this salesman.
