Is that the net price after his discount or the retail? From what I know the going rate is 45% off the retail of the Fidelity Platinum warranty.
As a data point, I'll add that I bought an 8 year/80k mile Fidelity Platinum warranty $100 deductible on my 2015 GTS w/9877 miles at dealer cost for $2878. Purchased 9/07/18, exp 9/17/26. I still had 8 months left on my factory warranty. I think when they offer 45% off they still make maybe 30-35 points. I tried to calculate it back then but don't recall now.
Don't ask where I bought it because they won't help you. It was my local Porsche dealer that gave it to me at cost because they screwed up my service
I'll also add the service manager at one Porsche dealership told me Fidelity was easier to deal with than the Porsche extended service contract.

So, If I'm going to purchase a Fid. Plat. for my 2017 TTS, Looks like I need to do it before I get to 25,000 miles?

Here is the pricing with $250 deductible (in red) from Porsche that I received. The only reasonable one of value is the 108 month (5 years additional coverage for $6,698), which is still obscenely expensive!!Platinum 60 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $5406 $4822
Platinum 72 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $5914 $5246
Platinum 84 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $6426 $5674
Platinum 96 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $7002 $6156
Platinum 108 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $7650 $6698
Platinum 72 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $5914 $5246
Platinum 84 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $6426 $5674
Platinum 96 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $7002 $6156
Platinum 108 months / 60,000 miles / $100 deductible $7650 $6698
I know Fidelity Platinum is pretty similar, but still leaned toward Porsche’s given what seemed to be reasonable for an additional 5 years.

Thoughts on this? This is for a ‘17 C4 w/ a tick over 25k miles:
4 years/48,000 miles.
$4895. $250 deductible.
Should I shop around?

I think I could probably shop around and find something a few hundred cheaper, but I'm about to close on this C4 and don't have much time. I'm planning on keeping the warranty (and 911 stock) for a while to cover any initial expenses/repairs, and when I start to mod (tune, DP's, exhaust, maybe turbos), then I'd cancel the prorated Fidelity plan.

Super useful. I just bought a new 991.1 TTS and was getting the push in the finance office to buy a Fidelity or extend the Porsche plan. (Usually I would extend the Porsche plan, but major YUCK: it's quoted and runs inclusively...? What the heck, why would you buy it then...?).

So it is 5k for an extra 23k miles spread over 4 years? It works out to 6k miles a year for about 1200 a year. That seems to be the typical pricing for Porsche plans. I got s price of 5800 for 60k miles total an extra five years for my 2018 C4S with 16.4k miles.

I think it’s a bit overpriced, but I do like the protection it offers and the ability to cancel when I get the itch to tune and throw some GTS turbos on it.

Just as one more point of reference for those considering extended warranties: I just purchased a 2-year, 24,000 mile Fidelity Platinum plan from Michael Jourdan of Mossy Motors in New Orleans. I went with those terms because within 2 years, I might like to move up to a newer model, and I drive for pleasure only. My car is a 2015 C2S 7-speed with two-tone leather, sport chrono, and Aerokit Cup, 48,350 miles. I'm the second owner, and the CPO warranty expires on 3/24. Price was $3700, which I consider reasonable given the age and mileage of the vehicle. The ability to cancel at any time and to transfer the remaining warranty if I sell the car is a big plus. Michael indicated that he gives Rennlisters a 45% discount off of Fidelity list prices.

I believe so. It would be 23k miles/4 years, whichever comes first. My last car I had for 4 years, purchased new, and only put 16k miles on it...and it was my daily.
I think it’s a bit overpriced, but I do like the protection it offers and the ability to cancel when I get the itch to tune and throw some GTS turbos on it.

This is great info. I just bought my car last night, 2014 C4S cab, and they quoted me $15k for the only available warranty from them. I passed but will definitely be giving Troy a call as I am in the Boston area

I think I saw in the thread above that the Fidelity Platinum plan doesn't cover convertible tops. But, does the plan from Porsche? They seem to imply that it just extends the original Porsche warranty and so I would think so. Any thoughts on the cost trades offs? Trying to understand whether the difference in price in getting a Porsche extended is worth having the convertible top covered (as well as I think not having a deductible). I'd probably be going for a longer duration (4-5 years after original warranty expires).
