991 pricing is out of control right now

Congrats and way to pull the trigger. To many lookers are chasing "deals" that will be so hard to find they'll never get "that" car. You take care of these cars they hold their value pretty well if you want to get into something else down the line. Life is to short.

awesome! Although, I’m sure yours doesn’t smell like cigarette smoke... previous owner swore he never smoked in it and the first time I step in the car I smell it. The dash and headliner is covered in ash. Gotta find a good detailed to help me out.

But that's a correctable issue; beautiful car! Also, why did it take 3 months again?

When you pay....
...A little too much, but you get what you want***, that's a plus, because it only happens that one time. If you pay too little and don't get what you really wanted, every time you see that substandard substitute, you'll say to your self, "Damn, for just a little but more, I could have had what I really wanted,"
Note, people don't buy what they need, they buy what they want. If this were not the case, nobody would have a 72" TV, a 24" B&W would do the trick. They want that 72: TV, but they don't need it.

Another day, another update to my WTB ads I put out. My budget has creeped up over the last several months, a few cars either slipped away or didn't have good PPIs, and I'm being perhaps a bit too particular on the color. The search continues while my wife is not-so-secretly rejoicing that I can't find a car!
Guess I'll but more VGT today

That sucks; same thing happened with my son's Golf. It took over a year but the smell finally dissipated. A good detailer can use steam to accelerate that process but I definitely wouldn't try doing it myself, especially in a Porsche. Steam can leave stains of its own. Another plug for Larry @ AmmoNYC because he's great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjHEcPcTJTE

Thx Pete! It was nearly a full-time job for six months to find this color and spec!

But only on the 991.1, interestingly.
991.2 SPASM seems to be set considerably higher. Still looking for the right spring/perch solution for the 991.2 Carrera/S/T/GTS.
Love the pic above! Another great setup, with silver/PCCB/Sport Technos.

I guess .2 are about 0.5-1 inch higher? The lip would scratch just a bit for my .1c2s going straight down my drive way and .2 gts with spasm is fine

All I know is the .1 SPASM cars are dialed to perfection, being low enough to look purposeful yet still street instead of track, while the .2 SPASM cars have me wanting to lower them…but they're just so good in terms of setup. The .2 PASM cars are full SUV, unfortunately…
