...Their email listed some cars they thought I might be interested in, and one of them was the very same car I traded them! It sold pretty quickly last summer, but now it appears to be back in their hands - with another ~4k miles on the clock - and I'm not certain but I think their asking price is slightly HIGHER than what they listed it for the first time they sold it! I guess I should have just held on to it...
It's probably a temporary phenomenon (hope not!) as the pricing bubble should abate when the 992 volumes pick up and transactions close more regularly in the auction market. My own experience: I bought my CPO 2017 TTS last year with 7K miles for $148K, and I'm fairly certain I can sell it today for more than that with 8K on the clock.
After a six month search, I finally brought the car home last night. As everyone has mentioned, pricing is out of control and inventory is almost nil. If you find a car you like, jump on it immediately!
I almost purchased a high mileage S in CA, but passed due to the amount of paint work. There was another decently optioned S locally in Agate Gray, but I really didn't want beige interior. After test driving the gray one (which I intended to buy), I saw a posting for a low mileage S with more options I thought possible. I called the dealer that evening and when they returned my call the next morning, I asked to buy at their asking price. With the specs and mileage, it should have been priced $10k higher.
Maybe I'll post another thread, but man....what a car!
And if you're in the Dayton OH area, shout out to P3 Autokrafte for a great PPI! They even drained off 2qts of oil (overfill from the Chevy dealership) at no charge.
