991.2 Cobb Accessport, post your results

Three Wheelin'
Reporting back now that I have my boost leak issues sorted out. The car ('17 991.2 C2 base - no mods) is MUCH more powerful than it was previously. Take this with a bit of a grain of salt because my boost leak was limiting me to 10-11PSI previously. Now, on my base C2 with no mods, with Stage 1 93 v1.06, I'm getting boost at 17-18psi (this is based on datalogs as the C2 boost gauge only goes up to 15psi). The car feels much more alive, plants you in your seat when you step on it, and feels great. Based on Cobb's dyno charts, it should be putting out about the same HP and Torque as a stock 991.2 GTS now. I've driven base, S and GTS 991.2s (the S and GTS for 90 min. each at the experience center) and, to me, it feels similar to the GTSs -- of course, there is no real science involved in that statement. All in all, I'm very happy with the Cobb system, especially given that, with the latest firmware, I was able to remap the ECU without sending it in.
BTW, I've read that the Stage 2 maps can be used if you have the Sports Exhaust (which I do). Has anyone tried this combo?

I would not run stage 2 with stock cats. But thats just me.

So I fully understand the Cobb AP allows the user to switch from stage 1 to stage 2 and back to stage 1 at the users digression? Obviously if the car is properly set up for said changes

It was a vacuum/boost line that was worn through. Someone had routed it incorrectly (near a belt). Given the setup, it was probably broken for a long time, but given the fact that it only cut a few PSI when at stock, I’m not sure that it was ever noticed. I’ve only had the car for 500 miles, so who knows how long it was like that.

O4 Not anything astounding to share. Was surprised they will be releasing a .2 PDK update but its not free. They are aware of the big push for *** to be controlled but this person was not in development. I will be running the 93 stage 2 map since stage 1 will only give me a 40HP bump. Even though my Panamera Turbo weighs 1000lbs more the 550hp really makes the 911 seem a bit docile. Thats why Im going stage 2

I just had TPC Racing in Jessup MD do a race tune on my '19 4GTS using the Cobb access port and the results are simply astounding. Ist, 2nd and 3rd gear are kick *** with 4th and 5th hard to push given the speed. It has literally transformed the car. I also had their DSC module installed, cables for my Numeric short shifter installed and the alignment changed to match the GT3 stock alignment for camber and toe. Needless to say you can use the stock Cobb maps but if you want the max out spend the extra $ to have a certified tuner do the real work. I can't believe the change. If you want to know more specifics call them up, they are very very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I on the other hand am just an old guy with wonderful machine that drives and sounds great. I do have Soul 200 cell cats too. I can't wait for PCA auto x season to begin.

Where did you read this? I just had an email exchange with Cobb support and the tech writing to me was adamant that Stage 2 requires the aftermarket parts listed on the Cobb website.

"We actually have a good chunk of GTS owners using Stage 2 maps with that configuration. Since the car comes with a higher flowing exhaust standard, the high flow cats are all that is required."

COBB wanted some data logs so I did some WOT runs today. My car is a 991.2 GTS with cats, headers, BMC air filter, and octane booster on the latest 91 Octane stage 2 file. OAT was approximately 60F. The car was in 3rd gear and WOT was initiated at approximately 3,200 RPM. Using engine RPM and torque figures from the Accessport, I was able to figure out the crank(?) horsepower. As we know, HP=(Torque x RPM)/5252. The peak RPM was 7,488 in 3rd gear and the torque was 398.1 ft-lbs ("Actual" was 423.8 ft-lbs and "Actual 2" was 398.1 ft-lbs...I don't know the difference so I used the lower figure). This puts the HP at 567.5 horses. FYI, peak torque was 470.6 ft-lbs @ 5,856 RPM. I can't believe it. Someone please correct me, if I'm way off.
Anyone know the difference between "Engine Torque (actual 2)" vs. "Engine Torque (actual)"?
