We set out to craft a rear exhaust that was simple, light, and as aggressive as possible while retaining drivability. We’ve been collecting feedback for a while and the consensus is that the 991.2 non-PSE equipped cars are prone to droning in the 1,800-2,200 RPM range with aftermarket rear exhausts – the primary factor that we based our system around. We tested numerous variants incorporating resonators, helmholtz resonators / anti-drone tubes, straight pipes, and a basic x-pipe to hone in on the best possible solution. Testing was done with and without our Sport Catalytic Converters as they are a very common modification. Resonators reduced the overall engine tone and volume and did not have enough of an impact on the drone. Helmholtz resonators (also known as anti-drone tubes) are an effective way to reduce undesirable frequencies when engineered and utilized correctly. We’ve had great success incorporating them into our recent 991.1 Carrera Performance Exhaust System as well - you can read about the development process for that in our blog post here. Our final design has proven to offer the very best results on this application and achieved our high standards for sound quality and drivability. The drone is not gone completely on vehicles with Sport Catalytic Converters, but it is minimized to a great extent given it is an aggressive, non-valved rear system.
Looking for the most aggressive sound and lightest weight? We also offer the system without anti-drone tubes for a lighter, more cost effective solution – the exterior volume and tone is the same minus the reduction in drone.
We use HJS HD 200 CELL CATALYSTS, The highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow – all without a check engine light. The HD design uses premium triple foil winding for maximum strength. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability – it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse. We use a large and appropriately sized catalyst to allow for maximum gains – no compromises here!
Our Sport Cats offer an increase in turbo sound with a very mild increase in exhaust note. You'll benefit from an improvement in turbo response and power - all without check engine lights or noxious fumes coming from the exhaust!
Like it loud? Want more crackles and burble? Forgo the factory cats for 3" straight pipes to the rear exhaust. Note - these pipes will throw a check engine light without an ECU Tune - which we highly recommend.
CONSTRUCTION: Each component is by hand out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″ T304L stainless steel. All welds are back purged to ensure proper weld penetration and longevity. We test each exhaust in a fixture before foam packing it up for you.
WARRANTY: Our Lifetime Warranty covers the original owner for life - including track use! HJS HD cats have an unprecedented 3 year warranty and we will replace them once at our cost as long as no physical damage or race gas is present.

Are all these components simply bolt on and DIY capable with no programming of any sort needed?
All are bolt-on / bolt-in. The Cat Bypass Pipes will throw a check engine light without an ECU Tune to disable it. O2 spacers have a <50% chance of success rate on the 991.2 Carrera in preventing a CEL with the Cat Bypass Pipes. The Sport Catalytic Converters will not throw a CEL!

Thinking it over. I have no interest in deleting the cats so that should work good for me using the sport cats or stock cats.

I think you'll be very happy with just the rear exhaust as you'll finally be able to hear the engine, the rear exhaust makes a bigger impact than the Sport Cats. You could add the upgraded Sport Cats at a later date if you desire a bit more.
Ordered this today. I went with the street package which also includes the sport cats. Direct bolt on replacement with no tune needed and no check engine lights which may be experienced if you delete the cats. Dealt with John B who was very helpful.
Really excited to get it. Will be documenting the install process step by step on my instagram @scottsrides and plan to make a youtube install video as well. I do a ton on instagram. A little on youtube but I plan to step it up for this video. I am Scott Spencer there.

This package is now available for both the Base Model Non PSE and S Model Non PSE. S Non PSE models require a different tip outlet pipe to accommodate a properly fitting exhaust tip. We will now be offering a Carbon Fiber (featured below), Polished Chrome, and Black Chrome tip option for all Non PSE models in conjunction with our X-Pipe exhaust replacement.

Per LargePuppy's request, we also took the time to make the necessary modifications to his existing aftermarket exhaust tips as they were sticking out much too far and were starting to look a bit worse for wear. Here are some photos of before (with stock exhaust) and after (with SOUL exhaust). Fun little project : )
Can you reinstall the factory exhaust tips in a non-PSE base C4 cab so it retains the same OEM look (question for me and the maybe one other person that likes them)?
OEM tips would fit just fine. These tips were originally on my stock exhaust, I had purchased them from a vendor here to replace the stock tips on the stock exhaust. They were refinished and re- engineered to actually properly fit the vehicle.
