We had the pleasure of installing our Performance Exhaust on a fine 991.2 this week. Unfortunately no video clips as it's been raining nonstop the past few days. Have any questions about upgrading your 991.2? Give us a call and let's go over all the options to get your driving experience elevated.

I wanted to post my awesome experience with Soul.
Got my first 911 on October. 2017 991.2 Base, manual with chrono. Loved the car but there was something missing. I was originally looking for a 991.1 NA with PSE since the noise of that engine and exhaust, to me screams Porsche. Long story short, I went with a 991.2 due to performance, “tunability” and better manual transmission.
As I mentioned my 991.2 was missing something, that was the exhaust sound. I was not able to find a local car manual with PSE, so I bought a non-PSE car. Did some research and saw a couple of youtube videos from Soul. Got in-touch with Mike from Soul and ask him a few questions: the most important was droning. A friend had an x-pipe from another brand and had a lot of drone, really noticeable.
Mike said, most of the drone was removed using the antidrone tubes. I went ahead and placed the order the x-pipe with antidrone tubes. Got the exhaust some days later. Tried to follow a youtube video to install it but I gave up. The heat shield screws are a pain to remove so I decided to get it installed. Contacted Mike again, he sent me info about local authorized installers, got in touch with them and got my exhaust installed in 2 hours.
Regarding the exhaust: Wow, just wow! My car got transformed. Honestly cold starts are loud! Porsche loud. Driving in normal mode sound a bit louder than with the stock but nothing crazy. Sport mode is where the exhaust shines, pops and crackles on downshifting and after getting off the gas, in between gear shifts. IMO this sound better than a PSE 991.2.
I’ve been driving for a more than a month now and no drone at all! I drive it on sport 99% of the time and it’s just perfect. Not too loud, not too quiet, great tone and no drone. I wonder if I should go catless now lol!
Here are some pics. Thank you Soul!

About two hours into the installation process on my 991.1 with PSE. At this point I've got all the factory parts removed and also installed new air filters. New exhaust goes on later tonight or tomorrow morning!!
Everything was pretty straight forward per the printed instructions. Only concern I had was while disconnecting the vacuum line, the nipple is attached to a sheet metal plate that's held on with a single nut/bolt (last image). While pulling the vacuum line off, the sheet metal plate moved about 1mm (bent) away from the bolt. I don't think the vacuum seal will be affected from this, does anyone else know? Doesn't seem like the is the sealing surface anyway?
Edit: no damage done from the "holder" bending. It's basically a pass through the firewall with male nozzles on both ends. I found more information on this part in this thread. It's labeled on the diagram as #12.

Another update after I'm done.

SOUL: I'm on the fence now between the full sport cat/exhaust system vs. just the SOUL exhaust pipes. I'd rather avoid doing piecemeal. The gentleman above had a great experience with the exhaust upgrade only but is wondering now about adding your sport cats too. I've heard your youtube video with the combo, but have you guys filmed a vid with just the anti-drone pipes and stock cats yet? Drpartusa, might you have a vid to post of your inside the car and outside the car sounds?
SOUL: would your exhaust-only or combo sport cat system interface well with a standard stage 1 Cobb Accessport tune, or would it require special mapping? Anyone here have a COBB tune and SOUL exhaust? thoughts?

You would net great results with the stage 1 AP tune but you'd be equipped for the stage 2 map which requires high flow catalysts and high flow exhaust if you did the full package. I recommend running a BMC air filter as well if you are going all out. A custom Pro Tune specific to your vehicle and mods can often yield greater results to a point with a pro tuner exercising greater freedom on your individual car - COBB is trying to make these maps work for all sorts of vehicles but a Pro Tune is specific and can push a little further with aggressiveness if desired.

Drpartusa, your car is hot, and your review is the best I've ever read on Rennlist so far, in terms of how you hit on all the exact points prospective buyers of exhaust systems want to know. Thank you!!

I have a few videos from the outside. I’ll upload them to youtube and send you the link. I’ll try to shoot a video from the inside later this week.

It is almost mostly in Sport mode. Casual driving was done in Normal mode. Moving forward I'll be sure to document the different modes - it has been tough for me to get a wealth of video as our shop is located in a heavily trafficked area with no nearby private areas to do runs. The police are very aware of our presence and we exhausted the only low traffic straight road around and received death threats for it. I'm doing my best to line up outside sources to improve the quality and quantity of our videos and we always welcome anyone who can assist to reach out and be awarded appropriately!

Mike (SOUL), thanks but I'm a bit confused. Was your vid above with or without PSE? You mention valves open or closed so that would suggest the car in the vid had PSE. We're trying to hear what the anti-drone x-pipe with stock cats sounds like in both normal and sport modes on non PSE car. But if that car is a PSE then we may be hearing valve open noises which doesn't help those of us with non-PSE. Please set me straight -
