Mike (SOUL), thanks but I'm a bit confused. Was your vid above with or without PSE? You mention valves open or closed so that would suggest the car in the vid had PSE. We're trying to hear what the anti-drone x-pipe with stock cats sounds like in both normal and sport modes on non PSE car. But if that car is a PSE then we may be hearing valve open noises which doesn't help those of us with non-PSE. Please set me straight -
-Mike

If I may, that car in the latest video Mike posted is a Non PSE car. All 991.2 vehicles with PSE have a center exit exhaust, not on the outer edges of the bumper. If you’d like to have a more in depth discussion on the exhaust configurations, please feel free to give me a call any time at 4848836197. I’m always happy to chat cars

Porsche Dyno in The
Anybody have a bead on a good Porsche dyno shop in the greater Bay Area? I have the following project to complete.
Prefer to help SOUL with gathering the dyno data needed to validate increases in HP/Torgue over stock 991.1 GTS exhaust. The dyno used needs to link the front and rear rollers.
POR.9911.COH
Porsche 991.1 Carrera Competition Headers - Version 2
ECUTUNE
Cobb Accessport - 991.1 Carrera S
ECUTUNE
Custom Protune - Apex Autowerks

Who Is Interested in SOUL 991.2 Header Development?
We are strongly considering this as a development project for 2020, and we'd like to feel out the community. What do you like and don't like about current headers on the market? What would you like to see from us? We are happy to take your feedback into consideration for this project, so talk to us and let us know
Best regards,
John Gaydos

REVIEW on newly installed SOUL anti-drone exhaust on non-PSE 991.2 base Carrera:
Had exhaust professionally installed and all went smooth except installer accidentally tweaked one of the O2 sensors on the cat while mounting and it needed to be replaced on their dime, it was, and no problems after that (it originally lit the check-engine light). Just mentioning this in case you try to do it yourself, know that the O2 sensors are fragile, and they cost $300 each OEM.
As for the sound, it's better than stock, especially on cold start, but not by as much as I though it would be. From inside the car after it idles down and settles, it's barely audible. Under revs while parked, it sounds more aggressive than it did stock but nothing that's going to give anyone goose bumps standing around. Your average Clean Culture event attendee would laugh at you if you revved your engine. Under driven load in Sport mode, it now allows a bit of turbo whistle to be heard and also some faint overrun crackles - pretty faint even with windows open. There is some drone but very little and quite manageable to cruise with - this was true as advertised. It may seem like I'm complaining, but not with SOUL. All I did here was delete a muffler on a small turbo-engined car so not expecting to get the raw cacophony of a 991.1 Carrera S with PSE (perhaps the best sound ever out of a car, stock). However, I'm left slightly dissatisfied and can't stop wondering if I should go ahead and have the SOUL sport cats added in but that's another $2500 or more and I'm not confident that I wouldn't be yet again underwhelmed by the resulting volume.
My advice: if you're looking for a little more Rock and Roll to a base 991.2 Carrera, this is a high-quality, cost effective (appx 2K all-in shop-installed) product that will suffice. If you're looking for a little more Heavy Metal, perhaps don't get the anti-drone version or also get the sport cats too. Or, go get a naturally aspirated 3.8 with sport exhaust, hahaha. I love turbo torque but turbo cars just suck, sound-wise. And they're killing F1 for me as well. Went to the Canada GP last year and I heard more aero-buffeting from the cars than I did their turbo-hybrid exhaust. Dismal.

On Vivid Racing’s site I was looking at the non-pse race pipes with O2 sensors. Then on the page it said this...
- Installation of the valve controller on non-PSE models is more difficult than on PSE equipped vehicles due to wiring (power source must be located and tapped) and vacuum lines needing to be installed. Rear bumper must be removed. We highly recommend professional installation
