James has completed his exhaust installation at Porsche of Minneapolis! Check out the process involved with installing the OEM valve control button and have a listen to the results!

Thank you for sharing the video, it’s a big job to just add the PSE button . Must cost a fortune in labour. Lol

He said about $1500 for the parts and labor since PSE was not originally optioned on his car.

I had a great time at Sonoma Raceway on 11/29/19 but it was in the 30's for our first session at 9:00 and pretty slick too. Hanging out with a couple of fast cars on Friday, this was my friends first time on track with his GT. My new Soul exhaust sounded terrific on track, especially the downshifts up against the k walls, but the .2 GT3 RS with headers is way louder.

Epic! Did you happen to get any video of you on the track?

My GoPro died last year so I took a sledge hammer to it! Here's a short clip a friend of mine took. Both he and the Mustang driver behind me are members of my Mustang forum.

Sounds great!

Here's a video from our dealer Eurohaus Motorsports with a 991.1 Carrera with our Long Tube Street Headers and Valved Performance Exhaust:

OK John, so I finally installed competition headers and valved exhaust on my 2016 GTS.

First impression: My ears hurt! It is WAAAYYYYY louder than I expected. The thing sounds like a race car. I am considering switching to the street headers to tame it a bit, although I will give this some time as I understand that the sound will mellow out a bit over time. How long should I give this to mellow John?

The other issue I have it that it smells like it is running rich. I assume the tune will fix this.

Surprisingly, I find the valves closed position to be a bit more quiet than the stock PSE. It's amazing how this thing goes from luxury car quiet to race car loud with the press of a button.

I unboxed this and adored it's beauty a few times before having it installed.

Soooo what you're saying it you need headers? Lol. Was that Ford GT getting tracked? Have seen several but none at the track, curious to hear how they are out there.

Yup, that's as aggressive as you can get it's going to be insane with valves open haha. As you are catless, you'll smell fuel regardless of the tune while you couldn't smell a thing before with the cats in there. Unless you've spent decades at the track tuning high performance race cars, I wouldn't expect your nose to be that sophisticated and would chalk it up to you smelling things you didn't before...but hey maybe you're a hidden gem of talent who knows haha. Thanks for all the feedback David, you are the man

John Gaydos

How does this system compare to AWE switch path from a loudness perspective? I had installed the switch path and thought it was too loud and aggressive.

With valves open our system will have greater volume and intensity as in valves open mode we bypass the side mufflers entirely. The anti-drone tubes are in place to mitigate drone without reducing volume. Valves closed mode allows the exhaust to flow through the side mufflers for a quieter sound. This exhaust was engineered to be loud and aggressive while quieting down to an OEM level with the press of a button.
