Hi folks, I just did this! I'm about to move and going from a 5 mile round trip to a 110 mile round trip commute. I was equally splitting time driving a 17 C4S and 10 BMW M3 to a Model 3 LR DM, Although I'll miss the M3, the Model 3 will make an excellent commuter car.

I daily a Model S, and I absolutely love it. It's a rear wheel drive model, and the handling is fantastic (20" Arachnid wheels).
My wife drove it for a week, fell in love with it too, and now she has a Model X.
Teslas are amazing cars.
Congrats to those who have added them next to their Porsche !

I plan on keeping my 911 very long term-to the point that maybe I will have to get some boutique gasoline to operate it Electric is the future. Not sure if Tesla is though. I will be very happy to have an electric car for most drives and an old school (and probably slower) 911 for the fun drives

People are gonna hate on the hybrid 911 because its gonna be a few hundred pounds heavier. But its gonna be a game changer and put an end to these tesla debates. If they put the batteries up front its gonna help with balance also and remove the need for awd shafts and clutches (where they can recoup some weight). The 992.2 is gonna destroy cars in a straight line. Imagine the 718 gt4 with hybrid assist. I think thats a big a reason why they went with a completely new 9A2 based engine, planning to strap it into future hybrid carreras. Its gonna be a complete animal and I can see them keeping the 8k redline (or close to that) in the 992.2 hybrid variants). And it will sound great with zero lag. Best of both worlds IMO.
