any thoughts on this : i have has my new carrera s for about a month and just noticed that part of the glove compartment"s leather is wrinkled. my entire interior is leather. i also see this issue with small sections on the door panels. My salesman said if it bothered me enough they wll get it replaced. I am not trying to be a pain in the neck but i have owned other exotics and even 911'sand never seen this before
I have it in a few sections on my dash and doors on my 2019 T. Like you, I haven't decided if it bothers me enough yet to make a big deal out of it... At least its positive to hear replacement doesnt seem like it would be a huge fight based off of your convo with the dealer!
Every cowhide is different and I'm fairly certain they try to match the grain.
The grain looks natural to me, if it's uniform in color, I personally would leave it alone. I look to avoid trips to the service department.
They did a study during WW2 on aircraft maintenance and they found that a rigorous service schedule actually resulted in much greater down time for planes. They adopted a less demanding maintenance program and down time decreased significantly.

yeah. i may st have the glove compartment replaced since its in somewhat my eye view but still need to see the other cars on the floor with full leather and see how they look

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
good point dont like anyone messing with my car, they are sometimes very careless
my option simply says "all black leather interior" priced at 3,500. so i am not sure
I believe the natural leather only comes in espresso and espresso/beige, and I’m sure a custom all natural in black will be a good deal more, so it’s likely the bonded leather which should have some more consistency.
Dealer is offering to replace it. I’d do it for the peace of mind.
I'm in the leather business....and suggest you remember that leather is from a live animal, which has wrinkles in it and various grain textures just like you do on your skin. There is nothing wrong with the section, that shows its a natural product. If you want perfection, buy vinyl (which is really a stamped plastic product). The best leathers in the world have graining variations. Replacing it is unwise, you will have a dye lot variance and parts of your car have to be taken down to do so, resulting in the possibility of rattles, etc. I'm quite surprised they would offer to replace it, and imagine if run by Porsche Corporate they would tell you exactly what I am saying and deline to do so.

Well technically it's from a dead animal (hopefully).
