No, you have done what you needed to. Jim and his daughter do this as a part-time hobby and he travels frequently so it takes a long time for him to get to orders. I paid in early Nov. and I expect just the hood crest this coming week and the other 5 will follow, in time.
If you use 3M tape to attach the crest to the hood, then I will guess the rubber gasket is not used, correct?
I installed it tonight and there was no rubber gasket on the hood. I put some small pieces of thin 3M tape down before putting the new one on but that was it.

As Bob said.....don’t use the rubber gasket and just use 3M tape. I had talked to Jim and that’s what he said to do. I did mine and it works great. I’m also the one that put the steering wheel crest he made for me over the existing one using silicone and bending slightly. Looks great. I just couldn’t figure out how to get the original one off. I never found anyone that ever took it off either.
