I received my new steering wheel crest and installed it today; the last one was the same as the ones on the wheel center caps thus too big, and this one is from a 356 hood that I found and sent to Jim. I used 3M tape to install it over the existing crest albeit I may take it off and use clear silicon since so it sits a little deeper in the opening but all in all I am very happy. Next up is the SC Mode Swtich cover:

Thanks; however, in a few minutes I am taking it off and doing what you did so it sits lower into the recessed area. The 356 crest has the part#, etc. on the back and since they are raised I need to use the dremel to ensure the back is flat and use silicon vice 3M tape as you did.

And stayed tuned to see what I did with the one that was on the steering wheel.
