That's light reflecting, not white paint.

Just like in the movies....close ups are never the best as they show things that are developed by lighting.

It is the overhead LED lighting in my garage.....I'll take a picture or two outside in better lighting conditions.

Yep as I said the 3 m tape works great (Jim’s suggestion)
the steering wheel crest....I put over the existing one with a few drops of commercial grade silicone so not to take up space. Looked into other options when I did mine but no one could give any answers. It looks fine I think as the picture shows.

Sure do! I could not see getting just the custom hood crest if I could not get matching wheel crests, and steering wheel crest so it was a set of 6 or nothing, and I am waiting on my set now...pics to come.

Hey Bob
I have the hood. Will order the wheel crest in the spring but am interested to see how you install the steering wheel crest. To remove the old is a chore are you planning it as an overlay?

Someone else bent/curved it just slightly and placed it over the top of the existing one...I don't want to take the chance of having the airbag blow up in my face unless I hit a brick wall, head on.

So are you removing the old one? If so let us know how much of a hassle it is.

I read that as he is going to overlay it, for fear of setting off the airbag if he tries to pry the old one off.

Correct, just as I posted. The steering wheel crest is attached to the airbag with a couple of rivets/pins, which have to be cut to remove the existing crest, and the new one still needs to be glued in place either way.

I can live without those since I have the Entry & Drive option and the key stays in my pocket, or center console when I am wearing my tight jeans.
