Hi T Army, I’m getting ready for a Buttonwillow track event so I just installed AP Racing 2 piece rotors and matched them with Ferrodo D2500 pads. I will take time to bed in the pads properly. The installation was very smooth and the first brake fluid flush will be with Endless RF-650. The OE brembo 4 pot calipers will be put to the test as Buttonwillow has some heavy braking corners and few straights for cooling. The OE pads and rotors did well (10,000 street miles including 4 HPDEs Thermal, Autoclub, WSIR and Laguna Seca). I will report back after the event.
Ferrodo DS2500 pads 330 OE vs 350 AP Racing discs have double the number of internal vanes OE brembo 4 pot calipers will be put to the test OE vs AP J hook 2 piece discs All mounted up. I added a 15mm front spacer for added track width and better turn-in.

I didn’t go for the ‘race’ kit because they said it was noisy and not so great on the street (because the pads wouldn’t warm up). So, went for the larger 380 mm rotors and the Frodor D2500 (street/track) pads. With the bigger calipers, this ‘road’ setup is just fine for me on the track. The tires are now the weak link.
Pic just because: picture thread.
..yeah shoulda hit the center hub with a wire brush.
That’s a huge front disc, I’m jelly 👍🏼 Sorry typo I’m heading up Friday 10/9 for a “test and tune” day then watching some buddies race in a Miata clubsport and Porsche GT4 MR in a multi-class 3 hr race Saturday.

I love the big brakes! In my opinion, you can't go too big. Having oversized brakes will allow you to run a more mild brake pad compound and also have increased longevity. Around 20 years ago, I had my brakes fade on me and I about crapped myself. I went and bought bigger brakes as soon as I could afford to. For someone who tracks their car often, a BBK will pay for itself in reduced brake pad wear.
