991.2 Carrera T - Picture Thread!

Yup, manual, slick top, PCCB’s, 4 way seats (although I might put GT2 buckets in), no rear axle or FAL. Originaly ordered without side stripe and rear logo. Was a PCNA car, likely an employee car or lease before becoming a CPO car. 2019 and 18k miles. Pretty bare drivers spec without added tech which is what I was looking for. Never had PCCB’s before so eager to try them out. Will post more pics and details soon when it arrives next week.

No need to apologize for PDK. My first T was PDK and I found it to be truly brilliant. When people say "automatic" most of us have images of slurred, slow-shifting, non responsive transmissions of old. That is the polar opposite of what PDK is about. Sharp, intuitive, and lightning fast are the reality. Yes, I did end up trading for a manual transmission car but the transmission was just one of three things that swayed my decision (the two others being the VERY low mileage of the manual car vs the relatively higher mileage of the PDK car and my inability to pass up a great deal when available). I had two virtually identical 993s at the same time for 10 years, the only difference being one was a 95, the other a 97. I tell myself that a second T with PDK to go along with my manual T would at least be reasonable compared to my dual 993s.

-Sport PASM (10mm lower and stiffer than standard PASM). This was not an option on base Carreras. It was a cost option on the Carrera S.
-20" Carrera S wheels and tires (standard Carrera was equipped with 19"). A cost option on base Carrera.
-"lightweight" glass on rear 3 windows. NOT optional on any 991.2 Carrera model, standard on 911R, GT2RS and GT3RS. VERY expensive retrofit or replacement.
-door straps rather than handles inside (gimmicky but cool none the less). Otherwise only on GT2RS, GT3RS, and 911R ("standard" GT3 didn't have the straps either).
-Sport Chrono was standard with the exceptions of active engine mounts (not available) and the clock/timer/"precision app" (which was a cheap additional cost option). Cost-option on Carrera and Carrera S models.
-Sport Exhaust. A cost-option on Carrera and Carrera S models.
If a manual transmission T was ordered it also had the following which were not offered on the base Carrera:
-slightly shorter final drive of Carrera S (3.59 vs 3.44)
-limited slip differential (standard Carrera manual was "open" diff)
-shortened (10mm) shift lever with red markings. Not available on Carrera or Carrera S models.
Even with PDK selected, the T did bring value to the table despite what some YouTube videos suggest. Sport PASM, 20" wheels and tires, and Sport Exhaust (PSE) as individual options were very close to the price difference if not more when added to the price of a base Carrera. Now add the items listed above into the equation and I'd suggest that this was a great overall package initially.

^^^ She's already hooked on everything fast...karts, airplanes, horses...realizing now that she's going to have to work very hard to support her interest in these things. She did *hard* work this summer operating a retail store 7 days a week non-stop, just like she did last year - I'm very proud of her willingness to get her hands dirty -- too many kids I think don't get this type of experience anymore. It's opened her eyes, and really showcased her work ethic and willingness to get out of her comfort zone. Running inventories by hand, stocking racks, operating registers, closing books each night...great experiences all around.

991.2 T FS link
Hope it's not an issue, but I'm sharing a link to the FS ad in the Marketplace for our 2018 Carrera T. We have loved and enjoyed it, but need to move to something a bit roomier for our "Touring" Porsche. "Teresa" has been a great companion and a thrilling ride. Hope someone here can enjoy her going forward.

Hi all, I had a T a couple years back and my kids loved it. I have since sold it when I got an allocation for a GT3 which is awesome, except I can only take one kid
I'm looking to solve that problem by picking up a Miami Blue T, manual, slicktop w/ backseats. PCCB's would be a huge plus but I know that is rare air. I'd also entertain a slicktop, pccb car in Carrara White. I figured this thread has a bunch of T owners in it, so it would be the best place to post!
Some pics of my kids in the T and my GT3.
