Just had an epic day at Laguna Seca Raceway with the 911T and new Nankang AR1s. Firstly the tires look phenomenal. I started the pressure at 28fr/30rear and they hooked up from lap 2. The weather was a balmy 75 degrees warming to about 80 degrees midday. The AR1s got up to 33fr/37rear on the first session so I bled them down after the 1st run to 30/35psi. They are very predictable and grippy offering sharper turn-in and linear grip like a new set of Nitto NT01s. On session 2 I went into PSM Sport (one press of PSM) and this allowed some over steer in T2 and T11. I tracked against a racer buddy with a 991.1 GT3 RS. He has new MPSC2 Rs and he was amazed at the grip I had on corners. I ha e a COBB OTS v1.06 tune and I can verify that on straights we are dead even, dead even with my manual T. I LOVE how this car performs, its the underdog, sleeper sports car. I used mostly 3rd gear only using 2nd in T11 before the front straight. Torque from the 3.0 tuned was a blessing and I used third to slow the car vs relying heavily on the brakes. The stock small brakes worked amazingly well and showed no fade, just a slightly softer pedal at the end of the 20 minute sessions. Girodiscs are likely in the plans to allow longer runs or higher braking tracks. Lap times were in the low 1:40’s. See the pics of AR1 compared to the MPSC2Rs.
Loving the corkscrew!
Front tires didn’t roll over and they had excellent grip, never pushing or washing out.
Passenger side rear has slightly more wear than the driver’s side and they still look fresh.
MPSC2Rs 265 section in front for the GT3RS are badass!
Party in the back! MPSC2Rs 325 section on 21” wheels.

The image was taken by a professional photographer, Nigel, during a recent Porsche True North club drive In the Toronto area. The Police cruiser appeared out of nowhere. There were almost 100 various P cars participating. You can see additional images in the Canada regional section of this forum under PTN Niagara Run. Great times!

Got some track time on Sunday with the local PCA at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch. We ran the 4.1 mile layout. Really awesome. With my mods I was able to pace my buddy in his GT3 with no issues. What a great car!!
