Just had an epic day at Laguna Seca Raceway with the 911T and new Nankang AR1s. Firstly the tires look phenomenal. I started the pressure at 28fr/30rear and they hooked up from lap 2. The weather was a balmy 75 degrees warming to about 80 degrees midday. The AR1s got up to 33fr/37rear on the first session so I bled them down after the 1st run to 30/35psi. They are very predictable and grippy offering sharper turn-in and linear grip like a new set of Nitto NT01s. On session 2 I went into PSM Sport (one press of PSM) and this allowed some over steer in T2 and T11. I tracked against a racer buddy with a 991.1 GT3 RS. He has new MPSC2 Rs and he was amazed at the grip I had on corners. I ha e a COBB OTS v1.06 tune and I can verify that on straights we are dead even, dead even with my manual T. I LOVE how this car performs, its the underdog, sleeper sports car. I used mostly 3rd gear only using 2nd in T11 before the front straight. Torque from the 3.0 tuned was a blessing and I used third to slow the car vs relying heavily on the brakes. The stock small brakes worked amazingly well and showed no fade, just a slightly softer pedal at the end of the 20 minute sessions. Girodiscs are likely in the plans to allow longer runs or higher braking tracks. Lap times were in the low 1:40’s. See the pics of AR1 compared to the MPSC2Rs. Loving the corkscrew! Front tires didn’t roll over and they had excellent grip, never pushing or washing out. Passenger side rear has slightly more wear than the driver’s side and they still look fresh. MPSC2Rs 265 section in front for the GT3RS are badass! Party in the back! MPSC2Rs 325 section on 21” wheels.

i got some good phone pics of you saturday. i was only driving sunday and hanging out saturday. here's me in the cayman too. track was crazy crowded but the track/weather was beautiful.
I have very little track experience. Hope to participate in the future. Sounds like the T’s brakes did well. Did you change the brake fluid to one with a higher boiling point? Looks like fun!

I still have stock fluid and stock pads with more than 50% pad (3rd track day). Some go through brakes really fast (worn pads and rotors after a couple track days, I really tried to go easy on the brakes at Seca by down shifting and holding the brake pedal for a shorter time with a hint of trail braking to keep weight forward. I could do this better with the AR1s which helped me scrub off speed by turning in aggressively. In genera I was very impressed with the small steel brakes and will change fluid to Motul or Castrol race fluid before the next track event.
@lamacan - great pics thanks! Your car looks amazing and nice pic at the corkscrew! It was both crowded and beautiful 🤙🏼
come to big willow on the 22nd for night drive. if you want in shoot me a note, it's a private day for advanced drivers. i saw you driving, you'll be in good company. some crazy stuff comes out, like ferrari challenge cars, GT3R's, etc.
A little drag race on the front straight, thank you COBB.
You definitely accelerate quicker right out of the turn, then the RS's power band preserves track position a few seconds later. If he makes a mistake on that turn, you can definitely take him!
