On Monday I ordered a set of these Bridgestones for my 991 from Discount Tire, got a great deal as well since it was a Black Friday promotion and also they price-matched Costco.

Cost me $1,139 plus I will be getting a VISA card with 10% rebate. This includes the extra insurance for damage/punctures.

Doesn't seem to be a shortage of them as 3 days later they are at the store ready to be fitted.

My only problem now is getting a time slot to have them installed Discount Tire are very busy at the moment.

This is a pretty good video to help inform whether all seasons are a good choice (depending on your conditions):

Still showing back ordered on TR.

I get my 245/305/20's installed this afternoon.

Yes should be 245/295/20’s, but won’t be fitted for another 10 days as they’re very busy.

Let us know how you like them.

Interested in these as well. It looks like 305s are closer to the width of the OE 295 Pirellis so I will go that size if I get them. Still not as wide as the Pirellis but closer than the 295s.

Ordered today to replace P0's. Rear tires on back order. Debating 4-wheel alignment between the dealer and SoulSpeed.

Had my Bridgestones finally fitted today, what a difference! Much quieter, smoother riding and more grippy than the P-Zeroes, at least in the current temps we are having in Seattle which are mid-40’s. Bonus is I think the ‘acorn’ effect at parking speeds on full lock has disappeared too.

Those Pirellis I had on the car were the devil’s tires! 😆

I am looking for 295/30/20 RE980AS for Cayman GT4. I can't find anyone (Tire Rack or local Denver area) which has these tires in this size. Does anyone have a source with a good stock of these tires?

A local shop called the manufacturer who said that they are not making these size or had a very limited production of that size.

Sorry for busting into your 991 thread...

Do you have Discount Tire in your area? I recently got mine from there. They were not in stock the day I ordered but only took 3-4 days to arrive.

Yes. It was Discount Tire who called the manufacturer for me. Perhaps my particular size is a factor in its availability. The front tires are available immediately.
Thanks.

Thanks. I decided that I wanted to use Tire Rack, so I ordered the OZ Leggera wheels with the Michelin Pilot Alpine PA4 tires. This option is more costly, but, after thinking about it, I feel more comfortable getting a complete wheel/tire set from one source. That way, should a problem develop, I can deal with only one entity to resolve the situation.

Thanks for your time and response.

Completely forgot about the limited availability. For whatever reason Bridgestone only makes small batches of the 295/305 RE980 each year. You have to get in early to get them. Sorry!

Good call on getting the entire set from Tire Rack. I've ordered several full sets from them over the last three years. The only time I had a slight issue was some very minor scratches one one of the wheels due to poor packaging. It was for my autocross/track setup anyway.

YUp, it seems they produce early in the year, because last year they were already out in October and did not restock until late February. So one disadvantage of running these tires is that yo uhave to plan ahead for replacements.
