Default My first thread 991.2 GTS with build updates and pictures

My first thread.

I am new to owning a car (I am mostly a truck guy) I opted for a 991.2 GTS and I must say I love it! After going back and forth between a 991.2 S, GT3, and Turbo S I test drove the GTS and fell in love. (GT3 992 will be my next car).

Now to the Techart wing.
I just couldn't live without a more aggressive look. What I really liked about the Turbo S and the GT3 was the tough stance of the car and the look of the wing from the side profile and back. After a short search for a wing a friend turned my onto Techart USA and the rest is history.

.

Looks great! Ive been thinking about this for my car as well.

Maybe you could compliment the aggressiveness of the wing with some springs or a height adjustable kit.

So is the wing fixed? And is the engine cooling maintained? My OEM spoiler sometimes goes up at ~56 mph supposedly for cooling purposes. Depends on driving mode and ambient conditions.

Did you notice the giant scoop in the last pic? This spoiler was designed using a wind tunnel. A great piece!

Looks totally amazing! Very unique and T-Art is quality stuff! Got to ask, PDK or manual? That would be a very good reason to get the GTS over the other 2! Enjoy in good health.

As LavaGTS points out this design appears to have air intake well covered!

I'll also point out that the upper slat area is where the engine gets its intake and some cooling air. The openings under the spoiler are intakes for the turbochargers' intercoolers. On a car with the movable spoiler intake some air slides down a gap at the base of the vertical slats into the intercooler intakes and is sufficient for normal driving. But when you are driving more aggressively the car will raise the spoiler at lower speeds to allow even more air to be directed into the intercoolers. In this TechArt design, the flow to the intercoolers seems to be perpetually maximized!

It's good to see someone has worked out what appears to be a viable 991.2 wing. Thanks for posting the photos OP. It looks nice and aggressive!

One of my personal favorites for this car. I don't think there has been anyone that has regretted this mod! As many stated above, the wing is fully functional and wind tunnel tested.

We have done multiple here at the shop so if anyone has any questions feel free to shoot over a PM.

As a former TA wing owner, I approve of this post. Looks better than anything other than GT3 wing IMO....wingless cars just seem to have something missing (like a TA wing).
