I started out with a Targa 4S and as I started "tinkering" with the build I was soon close to the GTS money and since I liked the Black accents (and more power, etc.) I was able to change the allocation to a Targa GTS. Luckily I was at the right place at the right time when I switched to the GTS since my SA had an allocation and I was offered the same discount; however, when I started he did not have an allocation for the Targa 4S so he entered the order and it was picked up in about 2 weeks.
Just found out that my 4GTS left Port Emden 9/11, 10 days earlier than expected and arrives in Halifax on 9/20. Next stop Davisville where it will be unloaded and then transported to Silver Spring Porsche. Hopefully I'll get to see it before we take a 12 day trip. Will be wrapped and ceramic coated while I'm gone, so good timing!
Finalizing my order on 19 GTS! Local dealer had a build open and I took it! Im trading in the 17 and got what I paid for it in May.
Deciding on Carmine Red vs Agate metallic...any thoughts on the Carmine? I havent seen that color in person, but the Agate is nice...classy and stealthy.
What range do you guys see for discounts on order outs? I got 5%...which for a GTS seems ok?
I have an allocation with Porsche North Houston, sadly I wasn’t able to get a discount at all, claim was they had to jump through hoops to get it and there are others with an interest. Glad to see some are able to get some help on pricing!

Hopefully there won't be any transportation issues.
Mine docked in San Diego over a month ago. I am still waiting. Now they are saying that my car will be on the truck next Tuesday. Am I confident? Absolutely not. They said I would have this car 2 weekends ago!
I think we all understand how difficult the delays are but know that the moment you lay eyes on your new 911 and put your butt in the seat, all that will melt away!!! Mine has been sitting in the car carrier as it idly waits to go into the port before unloading. We both are getting there though. Best of luck to you.
She’s finally here!! Getting the paint prepped and corrected myself then off to the shop for PPF & Tint.
Gorgeous! Congrats!!
Do a lot of people paint correct their 911's? I would assume the paint on a Porsche is pretty good from the factory. How long does the process take for a shop to do it?

Every new car, either through leaving the factory less than perfect, or via the transport to dock, onto ship, off of ship, through receiving doc, onto truck, etc. ends up with some paint imperfections that could use fixing. The amount of time to correct depends on the amount of correction needed, and the skill of the person doing it. I've had some take a couple days, and one take a week. Just depends.
This is also assuming you are **** enough to care. Plenty of people don't have it done and don't see the need.

I had my car ceramic coated. The shop I took it to did a "light" paint correction before applying coating - basically a claying and light buffing. The total process took three days - the ceramic coating takes ~24 hours to cure. You can still see some orange pealing but that would take some serious wet sanding to remove. I'm not extremely ****, so it looks good to me.
Love seeing these chalk cars coming in. Thanks for posting! Still driving my 991.1 S every day, but cant wait for the chalk GTS to arrive. My order locks in a few days.

Here is one more just for YOU then! : P
