trying to find info on the shorter gearing for the T but can't find the numbers. was test driving a base 911 and loved it except that you are in triple digits barely into 3rd gear.

i read reviews saying it feels faster due to shorter gearing and shorter throws, but nothing concrete.

Yeah, the manual gear stick is slightly shorter than in the Carrera. And I believe the T has the final drive ratio from the Carrera S, if I remember correctly.

Default Rattling cup holders??

I have a new T that currently has 654mi on the clock. It's developed a severe rattle in the left cup holder accessible above the glove box. If I open the panel and extend the cup holders, no rattle. Anyone else getting this?

Reduced sound deadening... Mine is mainly when the readio plays heavy bass songs from satellite radio. The base stereo is actually pretty strong. I wanted to fix the rattles with felt but it needs some where the door card meets the window and I dont want to develop the detaching issue down the road. So... gonna live with it and keep it over 4 grand rpm as much as possible!

5500 rattle-free miles in mine so far. I haven't found a single thing to complain about with this car!

Question for those who speced the LWBS/rear seat delete. Would you install a rear cage like the GT3 RS or just leave it bare.

I specced LWB and Ceramics as pretty much my only options but I do not intend to track the car so no cage for me. I think it depends on whether you like the look, and if you are going to do the type of driving that might end up with the car upside down.

I like the open feeling of no cage. If I track, I plan to buy a hybrid HANS. I had cage in my 996GT3 and when I removed it, I really liked the larger feel without it for daily driving so what my plan is for the T.
