Pondering this question of late. Is a 2018/2019 GT3 Touring really worth the cost of 2x the Carrera T? I get the 9,000 RPM redline of the Cup engine and the sound, but is it really work an extra $120k?
New owner here saying hello.
2019 Manual T with the exact build I wanted - took me months to find it.
kids love it so far
Siblings. Cayman S will be getting sold.
I drove 10 hours from Long Island to Maryland and back on friday to pick up my similarly spec'd racing yellow car. Stopped feeling sorry for myself after viewing your Great YouTube Video watching you drive through that ice storm last week.
Best of luck with the car!!!!!

thank you! And congrats on the car! I hope we can bump into each other one day for a cool photo shoot!
LMAO….let’s make a sportier base model SUV with a 4 cylinder turbo with 261hp weighing 5,534 lb a sportier enthusiast model weighing….uh 5,500 lbs??? It’s official, the T model ethos is dying a quick death.

Yeah, that was my first thought too - Cayman and Boxster sure, but Macan? It almost devalues the moniker. For the first gen Macan they called it the "Sport Edition" and it was actually pretty great - basically a GTS with the base engine, but no-one pretended it was an enthusiast vehicle.
What this move says to me is that the T is here to stay and will be a regular trim level like the GTS. If the rumor of the 4.0 NA engine going into the next 911T turns out to be true and it comes equipped with a stick I think it'll be the next "red hot unobtainable Porsche". I reached out to each of the 5 dealers I bought one Porsche from and they already told me to forget about an allocation

Agreed. I’m sure a 992 T will be good, but it’ll be a wide body. I don’t think narrow body is required to be a T, but the longer wheelbase, wider body, and heavier overall is moving in the wrong direction.
A Macan T is just silly, but Porsche slices model differences pretty thin after all.
Will the Taycan T only have half the battery of the base model to be the enthusiast model 🤣? I can’t wait for the Cayenne T!
Honestly I thought Porsche did a poor job with the boxster/cayman Ts…it felt like Porsche wasn’t even trying after the low take rate of the 991.2 911T which they ended up putting the magic sauce in.
