Safely home! Drove the 911S three hours to pick it up, and drove the 911T three hours home. What a blast to drive the 911T, and the new all-season Continentals are great so far. Crazy cold, wet, snowy conditions in CT, and the tires are grippy and much quieter than the P-Zeros that were on my 911S.
One quick observation in the comparison between my old and new 911 .... the T is not louder while driving. I know it's a little bit of apples to oranges because of the different engines (my S was a 2015 with sports exhaust) and the different tires, but I was concerned that longer road trips in the T would be too loud because of the reduced sound deadening and thinner rear glass. Non-issue for me. I didn't notice much of a difference in the cabin noise between the two cars, although the engine note (with and without the sports exhaust on) were quite different of course.
Also, unless I want to unleash my inner Jackie Stewart (I'm a Scotsman), I can't imagine needing to tune the 911 T. The thing is very fast with great pick-up as is. I won't ever track it, so I just don't see the need, for now anyway.

Congratulations on your T!
Same color as mine.
I only noticed reduced sound deadening at slow speeds, when I could hear every little pebble being kicked up by tires.
I drove a regular base before to compare.
I agree with not seeing the need for getting more power out of of it, plus it'll mean less stress on engine. I'm just driving on city streets and back roads.

Congrats on the T!
Your all-season Continentals - which type / model are they? I will likely go all-seasons on my M2 due to the low winter temps here.

They’re Extreme Contact DWS 06. For the stock 245/305 tire size, I could find only these and Bridgestones as high performance all-seasons. Went with the Continentals because I had them before on my Shelby GT350 and really liked them.
They’re not as good as winter tires, of course, but they do the job if you don’t want to switch between summer/winter tires every year. And I won’t take the 911T out in heavy snow anyway. Just needed something that can handle the cold and occasional light snow and/or freezing rain.
hey T friends. i finally sold my T after 2 great years (dealer bought it back for what i paid new at the beginning of 2020). i jumped into a 997.2 GT3.
anyways, i have a set of OEM porsche spaces and soul cats (uncoated to be discrete).
Well, if you have to End Time of Service, that is a great way to do it. Enjoy!
SS
yeah i love the T but it was an invetory car, not an ordered car and not a keeper spec. i bought it new in march of 2020 for $104,000 on a $126,000 MSRP and dealer bought it back from me for $103,000. couldn't pass it up especially being a sunroof/pdk/steel brake car. it's not a long term value spec.
I gotta say my 2018 manual T has been an absolute blast. Feels so much more nimble than the 2013 s I had. It revs like an NA for sure. I put an akropovic exhaust. Numeric racing shifter and GAIC tune. The car is a rocket. While it has over 500hp I’m thinking of getting the apr turbo upgrade. That’s if I don’t sell it which I have seriously been considering to fund my 69 T build. I also have girodisc racing rotors. They are amazing as well. Literally perfect brake feel. Honestly a tune is all you need on this car and way faster than you could really use.
if anyone interested in buying I’ll hear offers between 117-123k. Also have custom augmentin wheels which cost me 7k. I have all stock parts which are perfect. Thanks
Indeed. Which is why I specced a ‘normal’ heated rear window on my T, being a daily driver and sole car here in the UK, where the weather is often freezing in the colder months.
