For all you suspension geometry experts, if you were to design a system for the Carrera T to include new wheels with more aggressive fitment + lowering on B16s, what would that look like? Specifically, what wheel dimensions would you come up with? And would you add LCAs, camber plates, or anything else to preserve scrub radius, etc.?
I'm looking for an "ideal" setup for a daily driver, frequent canyon carver, and rarely track car. Cost is an adjacent but not primary consideration. I would rather have the right parts than a few extra pennies.
The wheel manufacturer I'm working with suggested:
- Front: 9x20 ET 45 (-2mm inner clearance and +10mm outer position)
- Rear: 11.5x20 ET 70 (+6mm inner clearance and +6mm outer position)
It's assumed these fitments will provide enough inner clearance for max depth on the B16s. But would you reduce the offset on the fronts to ~43 or more to target stock inner clearance?
Wheels make sense to me. But when I start thinking about scrub radius, LCAs, and camber plates I get overwhelmed and really don't know where to start.
Any thoughts you have on the overall package would be a huge help.
looking to sell my T if anyone is interested. I will post in Classified once I receive my P1Design cushion on Weds. Checking to see if anyone here is interested first.

Tracked my T for the first time this weekend. I typically track a 981 Cayman S, but i was impressed with the T. Car is bone stock except for Soul cats and didn't have a chance to put my Cup 2's on, so I ran the PS4S.
I am going to run it again next weekend and ordered Stainless lines and higher temp fluid, and will put my Cup2's back on. Brakes and tires were definitely the weakest link. Stock comfort pressures were like ice. Switches the pressures to 38R/34F HOT and it was good.
Brakes weren't a BIG issue at Big Willow because it's a fast track that really only has 3 hard braking zones (Turn 1, 3 and to a lesser degree, 5,) but definitely the weakest link on this car.
By comparison, I could hit 136 MPH in the straight in the T. In the Cayman S I typically run, which is a pretty well prepped car (plenums, BMC filters, Soul x pipe) the fastest I could get it is 131. T felt VERY underpowered in the straight. Really needs more rear end grip for the fast turns like Turn 8 to hit any speed over 112-115 confidently. I guess that's when you upgrade to a GT3 for track duty.
But, it was very fun to use my daily car on track to understand its limits better. Ripped it pretty good, as you can see by all the tire guts on the rear... and the PS4S wear.
Need some help and feedback from the T group. I have a 2018 T, 8200 miles, manual with silver T interior package full leather and 18 sport seats. LED headlights, sports design front. The previous owner had an incident on the car fax which I have confirmed was just cosmetic damage. No panels replaced or frame damage. What are peoples thoughts on private party pricing for the car? I was thinking around 89-90 given the good clean examples seem to be going for 94-96 or so. What are peoples thoughts? I know the bad carfax doesn’t help but still. I’ve been offered 80-82 in trade at dealers and trying to decide what private party price seems far? I have a private party offering me 84.5 at the moment.

Seeing chewed up tires always makes me happy. Showing the car is put to good use! The relative lack of power is an easy fix on the 991.2. And the brakes an easy upgrade too.

Nice track day report. At my skill the T power is all I need. I shudder to think of GT3+.
Chewed up tires... what a few laps on brand new P-zeros looked like, with air temp around 80 degrees in the heat of Oregon last summer.
But, I guess this is more picking up rubber FROM the track rather than it deforming off the tire.
Another question for the original owners or remember how you could build and spec. If you selected the T interior package in silver, I know this gave you silver belts. Were you able to change the belt color by itself to yellow or Miami Blue? Or by doing this you would have to get the basic black interior package?
Got new parts today! Thanks @P1Designs Now the interior feels complete.
For anyone with the T, I've been looking for the Sportex materials for over 6 months since they were discontinued. If anyone is interested should get them now as @P1Designs have whatever it's left to make.
