I know this has been discussed before, but can I put the Porsche roof racks on my car if I have a T with no sunroof. I know some people mentioned peeling back the weather stripping and then being able to add the racks. Just wanted to make sure this works on a T with a slick top (no sunroof or glass roof).

Here’s a good thread by a (previous?) T owner. I bought mine, but haven’t installed it ever. Yet.

The wait is finally over, pictures as promised:

For those that were asking what steered me away from the Cayman, it really came down to three factors:
---
  1. I could actually get a 911, from both an availability and cost perspective. I contacted 5 different dealers trying to get an allocation (or at least an ETA on one) and got nowhere. One even told me “we just got our allocations for Spring, no mid-engines” and the only on-lot stock any of them had were base models. I had a spec I knew wanted and this Carrera T had all of it except one thing (transmission, I would’ve ordered 7MT)
  2. Daily ability and long-term comfort. As awesome as the Cayman is, after driving both back to back I found the interior of the 911 to be a much more enjoyable and comfortable place to be. Despite the reduced deadening in the T, when cruising around in Normal mode it’s really quite civil and laid back. The Cayman felt like it was always roaring which I know could become grating on long drives.
  3. Last (and least important-ly), someone else already ate the first $30k in depreciation. Value isn’t a huge factor for me but no doubt that for the same money the 911 makes a lot more sense and will hold value better long-term.

Congrats, looks very nice. I like the look of the painted lower lip.

You mentioned 30K in depreciation. That's a lot for a T in today's market. I didn't see buckets or ceramic brakes so my guess is ~115K msrp which would mean a purchase price below 90K. Well done!

OG sticker was $119k (PDK, Bose, LCA, Sunroof, some extra paint options) and I paid 90. Very happy, put almost 200 miles on it in the first 24h 😁

Default AWE wind diffuser install is easy on the T

One of the first things I noticed in my T was the wind buffeting above 60 or so. Bought the AWE wind diffusers but procrastinated on installing since removing the door panels wasn’t something I was looking forward to. Well the T (maybe all 991.2s?) didn’t require it. Popping off the inside triangle there’s a single torx screw to remove to get the outside triangle off. Easy upgrade!

Awesome deals @lamacan @rhody718! My deal was not as great at 105K new from 112K msrp but equally enjoying it for sure. It's an amazing car.

So it looks like I will join this party, waiting for a DME to check out. While I wait, does anyone know, does the Bose Surround Sound include a satellite radio? I do like Sirius (I know, I know) and it's still easier to navigate the channels through the screen rather than stream through the app.
