“Now these GT cars are toys for people to one-up people with lesser toys, all the while patting themselves on the back for buying a car that isn't losing any value. I can't tell you how many more conversations I've had with Porsche enthusiasts about vehicle values, rather than driving experience, in the last few years. Or conversations about how to make the cars even more "special" with paint-to-sample or unique stitching, or some other option that will distinguish one special car from an increasingly wide array of other special Porsche models out in the world.”
So true, but luckily Porsche’s got our backs. I’m so glad they’ve caught on and are making as many cars as are ordered. Their support of the driver over the collector has been awesome. At the end of the day it’s about selling cars so they still make cars for the collector like the 911 exclusive, but drivers no longer need pay collector money. I feel like this is exactly where the T fits.
Much, very much, of our cars (read T) have trickle down Motorsport DNA. For example the steering racks and programming are virtually identical, as they are for most 991s, and that is why they feel so balanced, light and nimble/flickable. There is a reason for the Fairy Dust feel that we get. And I say keep sprinkling Tinker Bell. I'm an addict...

I agree with all your comments, speaking to steering specifically, despite whatever steering similarities the .2GT3 and the .2 Carrera T share, they have pretty different steering feel, the GT3 feeling lighter and providing the sensation of more feel. Both are good, but they don't feel the same to me. Related to steering, I'm starting to think the steering wheel thickness that has been discussed previously, where I have suggested the GT3 wheel is thinner, might actually be a difference of leather versus alcantara thickness only. I know a few members own both cars. Is an alcantara wheel in the .2 GT3 the same thickness as the alcantara steering wheel in the T? I didn't own both at the same time and I'm curious if my memory is accurate about the 3's being quite thin. Thinness plays tricks with my mind and makes me think there is more feel from that alone.
I joined the 911T owners club last month. My new to me T is GtSilver, PCCB, no roof, RAS, LWB, manual, and CPO that had 3800 miles on it at the time of purchase. I had the chance to go on a few local drives last month, and am currently on a road trip experiencing some great country roads in Virginia, Maryland, and PA. My initial impressions are that it gets better with each drive. While it’s extremely different from the GT3TOURING, the 911T does everything well, while not knocking the living **** out of you. I still have my hearing after a nice 8 hour drive today.
I have done a few things to the car thus far; modification of the rear badge, Side stripe delete, ppf, XPEL fusion, addition of the roof rails, courtesy of Nick Murray, and swappers the stock seat inserts for Garry’s houndstooth, courtesy of @bluehorseshoe . I am going to add the sport Tex inserts as well once I return back home.
^^^ Awesome and welcome! How fortunate are we to have these autos and lives in which we can use and enjoy them.

I also think that the aforementioned is a bit of a defense. GT3's cost more, those who bought them are very protective of its reputation in being the best 911 you can buy. As such they have a problem with anyone comparing a T with it. I was accused of having a fragile ego while commenting about the merits of the T. Rather, the inverse is revealed by many on that board. I've had a prior generation GT3 and I look at ads for 991.2's from time to time. What prevents me from buying one is two fold; it would have to be an ideal spec for me and I just really enjoy the T where I question any reason to switch out of it.
I think the T will follow the same storyline as the Cayman R. For whatever non-numerical reason it was special and sought after even 8 years after its debut.
Congrats to those above joining the T community and great add on the houndstooth.
Off the topic; I just received a reply from APR that they plan on doing intercoolers, plenums, etc along with their chip. Looking forward to seeing a complete offering of products for our already superb vehicles. Our vehicles are already spectacular, I can’t imaging them with more reliable power with our smaller/quick spinning turbos.

Agreed. Cayman R was a true one year car (2012) and the 563 for PCNA is very similar to the 613 for the Ts produced for the same in 2019. 2018 was a lot lower pro (see below). Very similar color schemes ( Sadly, no Peridot Green though! ) and hardware offerings too...
Just checked. Total pro in 2018 and 2019 for Ts to PCNA and PCL has crept up to 1029 total. 316/35 and 613/65 respectively.

Did you tint the light weight glass? If so, was there any concern with the install? I am debating tint vs no tint on my Red carrera T.

My car is tinted, I have had zero issues. There are other T’s that are tinted as well. When I picked up my car the installer said he researched how to tint the rear-glass. He is super OCD and was fine with doing it for me.

So if North America got about half of the Ts produced, we’re looking at circa 2,000 Carrera Ts produced worldwide...?
