Great video to start weekend on.

No surprises againsta car that built like a boat - 200 kgs heavier!

Love the way he describes the subtle feel of driving the T

That is a beautiful car, congratulations!

BTW is the side decal the same agate gray as the other T's? It looks almost black on yours. It could also be due to the contrast against the white.

Thanks!

The car is White Metallic which seems to have some grey tones instead of being stark bright white and really compliments the gray and black highlights.

The side decal is agate gray - I think it's just the lighting in this photo.

I think the black headlights with the black sunroof really balance out the look and add to the appeal of the car overall!

I also have the GT silver stitching, seat belts and Sport-tex stripped seats with white gauges and clock - it really makes for a complimentary overall package and came out better than I had hoped!

ronht- Love it! The T is my favorite Porsche right now - although not a T owner. Enjoy in good health!

Long time lurker to this thread and now I am close to pulling the trigger on a Carrera T. There is one option I am on the fence about, and it is the rear axle steering. After looking at the awesome survey, I see a good 50/50 split on RAS. I currently have a 718 Cayman S and have never had the chance to drive a Porsche with RAS on it. Is it worth getting? My T build would be very minimal as I would want to keep with the "purist" appeal of the car. Could those with and without RAS (or those who have had both) weigh in for their takes on the option? Thanks in advance, and I still can't get over all the beautiful T's you all have.

Personally I would highly recommend RAS - In my opinion if you are going to choose from all the options, THAT one is the ONE that you need to get. I have RAS on my T and I had it on my 2017 Carrera S and I personally wouldn't get a newer 911 now without it!

I just read the article online. Seems like another example of how Excellence has struggled to capture it's own mission since @stout left. The difference in spec chosen for each car in the comparison tells me there is a degree of ignorance in approach to helping potential buyers connect to what matters most in the experience that is telling.....

I could go on and on but won't. It's up to the reader to decide on the value exchange provided by an article like this one...

Thanks guys!

For those still waiting, here's what my time-line was -

Ordered first week of April

Allocation assigned second week of May

Locked in June 16th

Arrived port of Houston August 14th

Arrived at my dealership (near Chicago) August 16th

Delivered to me yesterday August 17th

Dealer says it's the first 2019 they've processed.

All-in-all, my car arrived 1 month earlier than the original "expected" date when the allocation locked in.

^RAS. I have it on my T and the ability to spec the car with RAS and the LWBs for me provided an interesting track package. The RAS does make the car feel a bit darty on the street and if fairly serious track usage was not in the plans, I would probably want the T without RAS and with the standard sportex seats.

One other misgiving I have about the RAS is the difficulty in using 19” wheels due to clearance issues. Apparently it is possible to use 19s only with a custom wheel spec. I have not explored this in detail, however.
