oes Q=alex_c;15156854]I wouldn't say too premature for 2018's. The final 2018's are being built now, and there is no way they will produce a noticeable number in the time left. For 2019 the 3 dealers for Houston are sold out. There may be more allocations in the future, but for now, at least here, there are none.

The earliest VIN I've found for a Carrera T in the US for a vehicle produced in 12/17 (first official month of production of the T for the US) has a VIN ***5843. The latest I've seen, produced in 5/18 is ***6582. That is a total of 739 cars INCLUDING ALL BASE CARRERAS, which share the same VIN format as the T. Looking at the number of Base cars listed produced in the same period, there is AT LEAST a 2:1 Base vs T, which would make it IMPOSSIBLE to be more than 250 to 300 T's in the US at this moment.

IF ANYONE who has received their T with the last 4 digits of their VIN greater than 6582, please post it here.

Given this, assuming ALL Base/T allocations ended up being T's, I have not seen a single month with more than 150 Base/T's built for the US. So, assuming ALL of the B/T's produced in June and July are T's, that will be an additional 300 T's (highly unlikely as there would be a shortage of Base cars). Even with that wild assumption, there is no way we can have more than 600 - 700 T's for MY2018. Compare this to over 2,300 GT3's US bound cars, and you can see that even when not limited by a hard number, they are quite rare in the grand scheme of things.

These are FACTS, not opinions of a dealer, or sales people chatter. If you have hard facts like these that can challenge my claim, you are encouraged to post them.

Thank you for the info. You, my friend, are now T #1 in my VIN list. The previous lowest VIN for a known T in the US was 5843. Yours at 5837 is the lowest I've seen anywhere. Could it be indeed the first in the US? Could be!

Congrats!

I's sure PCNA has the detailed records of all vehicles. Mine is just an un-official sample of vehicles from public sources where I've been able to find the VIN numbers (Porsche dealers inventory, Cars.com, autotrader.com, etc), but ultimately, it is users like you who share this info which makes this possible.

^^^ I think BlackOptic's car was the first I saw offered for sale (FL Correct?). It was on the boat just ahead of my car and offered for sale about 2 weeks earlier than when mine arrived, IIRC.

And winning by just 30 points, BlackOptic is the new lowest VIN for the 2018 Carrera T's.

Congrats!

Looks like we are very close to the starting point of the line.

Our Salt Lake City dealer had a gently "used" Miami Blue T in stock. We called about it. We talked with the manager. We drove down yesterday afternoon to see it. And when we got there...another sales rep had his card on it. Someone called and made a deposit. It was such a beautiful car though! It had the standard interior with yellow pinstripes and yellow seat belts. Now we are waiting to see if this transaction goes through.

While we were there, my wife drove a used GT4. She loved it, but I was still a little disappointed from the T being unavailable.

What do you guys think? As a third car for fun, do you think we should (i) consider the GT4, or (ii) look across the US at one of the other T models still allegedly available?

I appreciate the feedback.
I actually have both cars and would say it depends what your driving style. The GT4 is more razor sharp, direct, balanced, raw and fantastic on the track. The T is better around town with the low end torque, better on the highway, quieter in the cabin and more playful on the track. Both are fantastic, but for me the GT4 is a little more special and the T happens to be my daily driver. Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions.

yes there is no option to add tinted glass from the factory. How ever u can have it put on at any tint shop just tell them to be easy with the heat gun is what i am told.

Thanks.
