Guys, the T is not a limited production car. There are just as many allocations as for a regular C2. Your dealers are just trying to get you to buy!

Then why couldn't I put in an order for six months?

Why do many dealers have no allocations and it is not an option on a Carrera like the T on the GT3.

I guess your dealer ran out of C2 allocations, which includes T allocations. Larger dealers shouldn’t. I spoke to two large dealers in Toronto and they said you can get one anytime, within 3-5 months of ordering.

While it’s true that it isn’t a limited car, you’re wrong about allocations. They are different between a C2 and a T and they are not interchangeable. A dealership is provided allocations for one or the other (or both) but they can’t swap a C2 allocation and order/build a T for a customer. Like any other model in the lineup, the allocations provided are limited and the dealership either has one or doesn’t.

And by the way, this applies to a C2 also. Depending on the dealership, many can’t even order a custom C2 because of limited allocations. The T in that regard has even less available opportunities.

Limited production usually starts with a marketing note from Porsche stating planned production numbers. Limited production can and does Happen Based on other factors. There were less than 200 '16 GT3's made. I would call that limited production as they all had the newer 0 engine.

There is limited and there is limited. On the one hand a manufacturer will state that they only will produce XX number of a given model. On the other the manufacturer is limited by various production factors (their own or vendors) and/or initial sales projections. The GT3 R falls in the first category while the T would fall into the second.

Are the “base” 4 way seat in the T, the same as the $3800 upgraded “Sport-Tex Seat Centers in Black/Dark Silver” minus the “silver stitching” found on the regular 911 carrera /s? 😳

If so, thanks Porsche one more upgrade they threw in with the T.

Sure why not - they’re probably not selling many base cayman models.

... also heard Panamera GTS is coming. ... hmmm ... turbo wing.

What is the purpose of the front Trunk battery cover? Is it just for aesthetics or does it serve a safety, protective or other actual purpose?

What would happen if I removed it? Saw a you tube clip where they seem to just pulled right off with no unscrewing, etc.
