A Wonderful ride home.
I bought the car at Porsche of Monterey, CA. I live in the Chicago area. The car was built to order for me, but took about 2 weeks longer than expected to show up. As it is, I flew out to CA on Feb 21, a Wednesday, and the car had not yet arrived. Thankfully, it showed up Feb 23 at the dealer at 4pm, and I picked it up at that time. Very exciting. But I ended up spending 6 days in Carmel. Which was not all bad because the dealer loaned me a 2015 911 Cabriolet, which I drove down to Big Sur twice. Then, on the following Sunday, I drove my new 911 back and forth to Big Sur as well. Then the next day... I drove it as far as the landslide and back (yes, I knew about the landslide.) Finally, we embarked on the rest or our trip, which took us down the coast or 101 through Santa Barbara, Irvine 1 night, San Diego at the Del Coronodo 2 nights. off to Sedona for 3 nights, over to Santa Fe for 2 nights, on to Abiline for 1 night, on to the real destination Houston for 3 nights, over to New Orleans for 2 nights, up to Nashville for 3 nights, and finally home after just over 3 weeks. It was a great way to put some high speed miles and twisties on the car.

My car does have some little rattles. I only care about the cowl shake I get now and then, makes the window knock. Hasn't changed since i bought the car and put 12.5K on it. But I use my car hard and it only becomes any kind of annoying if I'm driving on really crap pavement.

2017 C4S issues
Just a few weeks ago I bought a 2017 C4S in guards red and I just passed 1700 miles. A few annoyances are as follows:
1. The moonroof cloth when opening and closing makes a rattling/grinding sound. The dealership is telling me that to fix it they'll have to remove the ceiling material to get to it. Not looking forward to what gaps and/or rattles and/or scratches and/or small dents will show up after the fix.
2. As mentioned by someone else, the bose sound system high frequency range is very harsh. I cranked down the volume of the treble by -5. I'm still playing around with other settings to find a good overall sound. Some music sounds great, while some sounds awful. Any recommendations for settings would be appreciated! I'll bet it's already been talked about but I haven't searched yet.
3. The interface to music, phone, navigation is painful. Having control on the steering wheel is great, except there's not enough control so I have to use the touch screen for many reasons which I don't care for when trying to drive and concentrate on the road. In addition, some times the interface controls on the steering wheel won't work. I have to go in and out of menus on the touchscreen then magically the steering wheel controls are enabled again.
4. A couple of interface issues to point out: 1) I can't use the steering wheel to select stations from the favorites list. If I use the touchscreen favorites to select an FM station, the only choices from the steering wheel are other FM stations. Then if I use the touchscreen favorites to select a Sirius XM station, the steering wheel choices are only other Sirius XM stations...not another favorite. Seems a firmware update could fix this. 2) when ending a phone call the screen wants to stay on the phone screen. I wish the screen would go back to the screen used before the phone call so that I don't have to use my finger on the touchscreen again.
Having said that, I can't wait to hit the road with it every chance I get. Driving from point A to point B is so much fun now. But it would be so much more enjoyable if it weren't for the annoyances listed above.

Just passed the 1000 mile mark on my C2S. Have had the car maybe 4 weeks.
1. As others have said, these cars rattle, a lot.
2. The left screw on the license plate would screw in, but not tighten. Ended up falling out and I had to make a trip to the dealer. No big deal if a dealer is close by, but mine is an hour away.
3. Transmission error and then started skipping even numbered gears, then engine control error. Next day errors cleared on their own and car driving normally but have yet to push hard again.
4. The bose system is average sounding at best. If this is better than the previous bose, then I can't imagine how bad that one is. +1 that the highs are poor.
I'll have to make another trip to dealer for #3.
All in all I love the car and its a blast to drive. If i could pick just one thing I wish could be different, it would be the rattles. If they have not solved this by now, then I can only guess that its a challenge to make a car like this rattle free? I don't have anything to compare to.

I feel bad for any new owner who has to put up with these issues, especially if they are not close to a dealer. Sorry to hear and hope that you get these issues fixed quickly and painlessly.

I have driven about 4k km (some 2.5k miles) on my CPO 991.2 GTS Cabriolet since I bought it in February, more than half of which on the way to/from four different race tracks, and with 14k km (a bit under 9k miles) I have only had a yellow chassis failure warning under heavy steering & countersteering during a slalom, warning that went away after reigniting the engine, and a blocked petrol tank that prevented refuelling and is now being replaced.
Other than that, I am extremely happy with this car; I can't think of another car looking so classy on a night out the day after having been heavily beaten on the race track.

2017 S 13,500 miles - - Had my sport chrono replaced because the clock hand fell off, and the gauge cluster replaced because there were scratches through the gray color on the tach face from the factory.

2018 GTS, five months and 3,200 miles so far, zero problems, no squeaks or rattles at this point. I've taken it on several long trips (very comfortable and the Burmester sounds fantastic!) and three autocrosses. LOVE this car so much!
