Yes harmful applies to one's expense and time and the environment not the car (although there could be consequences for fixing what is not broken).

With maintenance there is something of a Heisenberg's Uncertainly Principle in the sense that the very act of performing PM opens up potential unintended results. Case in point, there's a video on YouTube of this Brit (or Ozzie, whatever) changing the oil (
) and he discovers that the drain plug has been stripped!

991.2 thumping in rear
Anyone experience a rhythmic thumping sound coming from rear when idling? Is at dealer now and at least they hear it now but not familiar with any common issues. They are going to chase it down. Help anyone. Car is 2019 4s with 6,200 miles.

Welcome to RL. Guessing that your car is CPO and the dealer will figure it out and take care of it. Do you have a video with sound? If not, keep us posted.
