Feel free to reach out if you have any detailed questions anyone. The DO 88 system has proven to be pretty good. There’s a little more bulk to it, but in between using the Garrett core and the carbon ducting attention has been paid to airflow and recovery. It’s a nice system. There’s something for everyone and when all things are taken into consideration, we can calibrate around whatever the customers needs are. These cars are so fun they can do almost anything. We got your back.

Do a search on my name here, I've posted pictures, etc. I bought a meth pump and used the windshield washer reservoir to keep the frunk clear. Then plumbed it to two large meth nozzles to spray the outside of the IC's. Ran it on the stock IC's and on the DO88 IC's

, Works much better than the GT1RS factory system (that I almost bought) because the OEM just uses a windshield washer pump. That works, but does not atomize well. The meth system is a large mist that kills IAT.

I later built a custom spray system for extra hot days since I run pump 93. That works well also.
Was that with the old style do88 intercoolers or the new ones (i.e., pre- or post-2022)? They used to use a smaller tube-and-fin core, but changed to a larger bar-and-plate Garrett core. I have the latter.

Hit up Craig at World Motorsports. It was a basic tank and pump setup with plumbing to the intercooler ducts. It sprays atomized distilled water onto the faces of each intercooler. I believe it's setup to spray when you exceed a certain boost threshold. I was excited about it because they can mount the pump in the open space in the battery tray that opened up when I swapped to an Antigravity battery. And they can do quick disconnects for the tank. That way I can drop the tank in for the track and remove when I get home so I don't lose frunk space for DD or trips with the wife. I suppose you could do the same thing with a meth setup, but I feel more comfortable storing and transporting distilled water than meth.

ZERO heat soak issues with Sam's tune. Reliable, powerful and consistent. Saw every bit of 173mph down the back straight at VIR! Simply put - just do whatever the F Sam says and put it to rest.

I installed my system the same month they were changing to Garrett. I talked to DO88. Garrett has a LOT of positives and I use Garrett in my other builds. Better than Bell imho.

But , I chose the “old” tube and fin for my goals. 15lbs lighter and is a MAJOR improvement over OEM. If I had not already installed and used the spray system on the OEM IC’s, I probably would choose Garrett. Garrett is an extremely high tech core.

Thanks. Good to know. Sam was also a big fan of the Garrett core when I talked to him. If I can figure out how to use the Cobb, I was planning to gather some data about how the do88s perform at the track so people can make a more informed decision when they buy.

When I made the decision to change the intercoolers and spoke to Sam he suggested going with the Tial intercoolers. For track use these were exactly what I was looking for. Consistently lower on track temps with very quick recovery times compared to the stock intercoolers.
Along with Sam's road race tunes which keep the same hp but lowers the torque has been flawless. The ambient temp here in AZ is usually over 90* at most of my events and to see 30-40* drops between turns is nothing to sneeze at. And I'm still running the stock intake side with Intercoolers only!

Yes, the TiAL are Road core specific in their design and we’ve got them back in stock again. There’s not always a silver bullet, but with a good consultation, we can make sure you get the right product for your needs.

Interesting. Didn’t even know TiAL made some for the 991 TT/TTS. Are they 3D-printed like their intercoolers for the 991.2 Carrera? Curious how their design compares to the do88 or CSF.

Depends on weather. I ran an event here in SE Texas in October, low 70s both days, and ran starting pressures at 30/34 F/R, ending up around 28/32 by EOD both days. Hardly any tyre wear at all, barely could tell I tracked it all weekend.

Did another DE event in early January, cold, windy, no sun really both days, started at 28/32 and both days ate up my brand new PS4Ss both days pretty badly, due to being such a heavy car and having no time to warm up before the others in the group went 'racing'. Ended up at 26/30 for both days after it warmed up.
I'm doing another event in April but I'm going to have some cheaper HRE wheels + Conti Extremes, and will see how those do instead. I had an off at the last even which 1. wasn't my fault, 2. only got a flat tyre, and 3. didn't bend the $6k OEM wheels, despite hitting the dip in the asphalt at around 120mph at a slight angle to avoid the jackass in front of me braking/changing lanes at the last second out of the fastest section of the track (I was coming off the back straight around 138mph).

So, yeah. There's a newer tracking thread somewhere, but I like 30/34 in the mornings before I start to feel some sliding and then bump down to 28/32 and lower than that is when my tyres got shredded, so we'll see how the Contis do in better weather in 2 months! Again these are HEAVY cars, and the tyres need a good bit to get up to speeding temps.

I'm afraid it's not as rudimentary as that - first off, what tire are you running?

I don't get the context here - what does this have to do with tracking the Turbo?
