The problem is if the cars are not delivered by end of July then we are unlikely to see them until September because the factory shuts down all of August. For what it's worth, I am told all cars that have been built will be delivered before the factory closes. I for one certainly hope so.

This is strange. PCNA sends out a notice stating no cars to be completed or shipped to US until mid September and now they are moving up build dates? Your build date was the same as mine. Yours gets moved up and mine gets delayed by 45 days.

I believe the factory closes on July 31st and returns around August the 21st.

Jones, Porsche must like you. Peons like me get kicked to the rear.

All European car and bike factories shut down that month. Better order your KTM, Ducati or Aprilia or Porsche parts before then, otherwise you're waiting a long time. I think that it's a good idea though, to have the vacations all at once.

That way the travel industry can make sure to raise their prices beforehand to help maximize their bottom line.

Zuffenhausen summer vacation schedule is normally a minimum of 4 weeks.
In recent years it has included last week in July & first three weeks in August.
I don't know the exact 2017 plant stoppage schedule (which is used for cleaning
& re-tooling as necessary
). But the Mission E construction project seems to be
adding an unexpected set of 'delays' to normal work & vacation schedules in
the summer at Zuffenhausen this year! I found it interesting that PAG recently
posted a notice in their website pertaining to its facility at Zuffenhausen that
reads as follows:

"Factory tours are not available between July 17 and September 8, 2017
due to construction activities and company holidays.
"

So the Zuffenhausen factory holiday this year might be longer than normal!

*********
Also of note is that Porsche Leipzig is apparently having its summer vacation
scheduled ahead of Zuffenhausen. It's website list July 3rd to July 23rd as
the time for plant holidays! The shorter summer plant holidays scheduled
for Leipzig (just 2 weeks in duration!) might be explained by higher demand
for Macans & Cayennes (maybe even Panamera Turismos!) which necessitate
more days of production! I am sure PAG worked something out with the labor
unions to get this approved!

I don't pay my own expenses for travel to get there and back or lodging, so ok with me!

My car was 7/17. That didn't change. Supposed delivery of 9/7. Unless it's now held up due to epa drama.

^Mine too... in fact, the "Enter Body Shop" date moved ahead 2 days early... from scheduled 7/14 to actual 7/12. Yes, last week.

Unbelievable! Everyone with a US July build date is getting their cars in September and my July build is delayed into September and not delivered until around November 24th. To make matters worst, its completed on September 15th but doesn't get on a boat until October 13th. So it sits outside for almost 30 days before getting on a boat.

I must have pissed someone off at Porsche.

Mine too. Our cars are probably close to each other on the line, lol.

I assume that they should be finished by tomorrow.

Weird thing I noticed on my newest tracking sheet.

10/20/17 Entry Port Emden
11/03/17 Exit Port Emden
12/01/17 Entry Port Houston

It takes 1 month to travel from Emden to Houston?? This can't be right
