Don't forget that the factory is closed for all of August. In this case, my guess would be that the delay is slightly longer due to production closing for holiday. Not sure how they would handle a partial build 3 days into production - let it sit for a month or just hold off on starting that particular build. Just a thought...

based upon your lock date I am hosed! Mine is 7/24, so my build is now later then originally planned. It means my early October ED plans in Leipzig are shot! ED department initially said my early September build was only delayed a few days and wouldn't effect plans. however starting to think it's been even further delayed now. They have been very helpful, but obviously a bit confused too by this delay. Bummer, guess I'm renting a car now.

ED cars may NOT be delayed. I would check with your SA.

The factory is closed from July 31st to August 18th.

I just heard from the folks at PEC ATL that my GT3 is scheduled to arrive at the Davisville port on 11/03 and arrive at the dealer 11/10. If I choose to do PEC ATL delivery this would delay pickup to mid December. The weather on the drive back to Ohio at that time of year would be very dicey, so I am opting to take delivery at the dealership. BTW the response time to my email inquiries was extremely brief and the lady with whom I corresponded could not have been kinder or more helpful.

What was your original build date and what is your new build date?

I don't think any cars will be shipped to US ports and complete production there.

Nick, do you have any sense of what the recent early prod delays are doing to the early Fall builds, like Oct? Last time I checked the lock date had only moved a couple days.
Thanks

My understanding is early fall builds will be delayed. If you were expecting delivery in November it will be delayed until January or February. However, builds for ED may meet the promised factory delivery date. Btw, this applies to MT and PDK.

It remains interesting that there seems to be no consistency in dealer updates.

According to the print out I received at the dealer this morning:
Vehicle fixed 09/08/2017
Vehicle entry to body shop 9/22/2017
Vehicle exit production 9/29/2017
Hope this helps.

Are those dates your original dates or were they changed?

My car enters production on September 1st and finishes on September 15. It arrives at the Emden port for shipping on September 21st. YET, I don't get my car until November 29th!!! You get your's before I do even though your car was completed two weeks later than mine. I realize that the San Diego port is a longer trip but by two weeks? Yuck.

I paid extra $ to have delivery done by Spectral class freighter which takes advantage of the Coriolanus effect to achieve Mach 0.6, at least while on an westerly heading during weekdays. All phase transitions will be supervised by Schroedinger's cat. This was clearly explained by my dealer as a valid justification of my modest ADM. And I believed him.

Upon further reflection I have come to believe that most of the above is not likely true.

My car enters Emden 09/29/2017 but doesn't exit Emden until 10/13/2017. I believe that my original vehicle fixed date was 7/20 but that has changed to 09/08.

Hope this helps. And there was no ADM, just a very competent SA and GM who were great to work with.
