I read the post - above - that you wrote for another thread
& did appreciate the humor. But I would like to know if you
are privy to the actual reason that PAG decided to make the
approved PTS list 'Confidential':

That happened halfway through 2015. The last PTS Approved
List I was able to reveal in Rennlist (Pre-Notice) to help keep
informed our readers (many who are present & future Porsche
customers that are considering PTS
) was dated 5/12/2015:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...de-to-pts.html

Previously the PTS list had no such admonition. I believe I know
the reason why they did it. And so do you. But I would like to
know if YOU have ever heard from someone at PAG, PCNA or
Porsche dealer councils explain why Porsche actually took that
unusual step. Thank you.

Actually I've talked to a couple people internally and they're not quite sure themselves either. Probably only a handful of people know the reason for such change.

The more or so agreed upon reason is basically Porsche is concerned about information dissemination. Porsche is concerned about how people see all these colors available, some feasible some not, and even non feasible ones are listed. What would customer think about a "pink shoe" on the list. The list changes too often and to save people from misunderstanding and miscommunication. Porsche decides to control it themselves.

To be honest the "Internal use only - Confidential" phrase is used in many places within Porsche. A lot of times even completely public information like product overview (horsepower, new options, specifications) even after the car debut. My guess is Porsche wants all the information presented in the way they want when it comes to the public and customers, and not disorganized or in a bulletin.

I agree, the debut of the 991.2 GT3 RS in September of 2017 at Frankfurt does sound early to me. I would normally expect March of 2018 at Geneva.

Chaosoul, you believe it to be this September right?

I don't state things I believe here.

It'll be this year. Fact.

This may have something to do with EU emission requirements effective August 2018.

Yes.

2010 GT3 was debut at Geneva Auto Show in 2009 March

2010 GT3 RS was debut at Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009 September.

I was hoping they'd pull it forward a bit.

991.2 auto show launch in fall of 2015, and I seem to recall 997.2 being a bit shorter than 997.1

997.1: 2005.5, 2006, 2007, 2008

997.2 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012.5

991.1 2012.5, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

991.2: 2017, 2018, 2019, (2020.5? TBD)

These are for base and S models. As you know Turbo & Turbo S models back in 997 lapped into facelifts

I know your crystal ball may be hazy that far out, but I'd like to see a big sea change for the 992. Need something other than a clutch pedal to justify substantial outlay for another new 911

Will we see both the GT2RS and GT2?
