I want to stay with the P car, but...

The .2 GT3 looks very, very promising. Can't wait to hear the real world reviews and having deliveries hit the road with some miles put on them.
Have been on here a bit too much lately. Starting to get busy with other stuff so will drop off a bit to give you guys a break. Great crowd here on this forum though. I keep chasing the NA love. Was like the 991 forum during .1 times before .2 arrived with Turbo.
Although the 991.1 Hot for Sale stickie has an awesome following.
In the meantime, enjoying this. Would have a hard time giving up. Maybe will have to wait until I can add to it.

Just my opinion of course, but the 488 is a more successful design than the 458 and it's weird headlight area, but both have that undesired roof folding under the rear fender look (like the McLaren).
I always thought the GT3's front looked dated, much prefer the new look.
Good to see the new RS will have a bespoke front that matches the wider fenders instead of just making the spoiler uprights wider.

First of all these look like super low quality of iphone screen shots from cars.com or something. Second, pictures are all over the place, like a silver 458 with front trunk not closed, and interior of a cheaply equipped 458 with no LWBs and carbon racing steering wheel with LEDs.

Yes sorry, cars.com half *** pics. Was just looking at listings. It only looks better in person right??

There is no free lunch.
For all the hoops many are going through to get an allocation of the legit engined/trannied 991.2 GT3, you get back a very low maintenance, familiar ownership experience with great value retention. 911s age like fine wine.
McLarens offer transcendent performance/tech as compared to its surrogates w/ spaceship looks, but fall well short on reliability, service network, and value retention. These British units age like spilled milk. The tech gadget of the sports car world. Nobody wants last year's model. There is no such thing as a McLaren 997.2 RS here, now or ever. It's just not what they're about.
Pick your poison.

As for the joining comment, I can't imagine that's true. And if it is, who cares?
Regarding what's not to like, I can think of a several things, but they won't stop me from ordering one. I wanted Porsche to make just one more NA GT3 with a proper 6MT gearbox and they did, so I'll just be happy with that.

Of course, can anticipate owning one. Probably .2 GT3. What's not to like! Maybe some would prefer I don't officially "join them"

What do you guys think of either of these? Any 458 owners on this thread?

Grigio looks beautiful. Pretty high spec, would suspect MSRP>$300k
here is the car fax on it..

Definitely need independent PPI, or PPI in conjunction with New Power Warranty. Strange that the "recommended maintenance " was only performed (at least by F dealership and thus recorded) by original owner???
