^ Right, because you prefer the negligible weight savings of a few parts over a motorsport engine. And you're asking the wrong question: It's now how much the R is selling now, it's how much will the original, genuine, authentic "true" 911R be worth later? lol
I love the 911R, but sentimentality aside, I'll almost always prefer better technology.

The acceleration for the R could be listed as slightly faster, since it has a little less weight. I can only conclude that the top speed 316 kph (not 216) is lower than R (323) due to a speed limiter. I think the rationale will be that it's not safe to go any faster without a fixed wing (higher Vmax in the R is for the brave).

The question is what the R will be selling for the day after tomorrow.

The Touring does not compete with the R.

Maybe a different gearing on the 6-speed manual on the R vs. the Touring?

I don't get the impression that there are actually many Rs actually selling. Just a bunch of cars sitting advertised for ridiculous prices. Very few cars actually change hands, and even fewer/if any with reported sales price.
Just because a car is asking $499,900 doesn't mean it's going to sell for anything near that.
