I think the .1 GT3 market is softening as buyers are holding off with the hope of buying a .2.

The truth is that outside buyers without an established relationship with a dealer and a clear path to receiving an allocation will find it very difficult to get a new .2.

IMO this means the .1 demand will return once outside buyers realize they can't just walk into a P dealer buy/order one.

As such, I am waiting on the sideline to move my .1 for now.

I purchased my GT3 and my GT4 from the sale dealer and SA. When they received their initial round of allocations I was one of four. Having an established relationship is important part of the puzzle.

Their RS listing prices are hilarious.

They'll take some strong medicine and swallow twice to move all those falling knives!

What's crazy is the prices they are moving at. They are actually moving in the 220-230's.

I understand your point but don't agree that it's the same for everyone. I for one enjoy the anticipation of waiting a bit and I also draw satisfaction from knowing I had the patience and restraint to make a decision on my terms. Different strokes for different folks.

I don't think the .1 demand will ever be better than it is right now. Once the .2s come out, I'll bet that anyone who can't get one from a dealer will be much more likely to buy a flipped .2 than a 2-4 year old .1. I just don't see someone holding out for another year, not getting the .2 they want, and then reverting back to pay top dollar for a .1. I think the .1 market will only go down from here, particularly the 2014's.

Sure pal, I'll take that bet.

First one to get an allocation donates $25 to the charity of the others choice!

I wonder how many of those who just had to have the .1 GT3 right away now wish they had waited?

^^^^ Not sure of the need to wait when most can't get an allocation. Bird in the hand better than bird in the bush. Good part they have trade bait if they can get an allocation.

In my Business we say the first hit is the best hit. I do not see .1 prices coming back up.

It's like beer at ballgames. One can always wait until after the game to grab a beer. But if one wants a beer now, while watching the game, at the ballpark, then that person is going to pay. And, pay dearly.
Just like many things in life. If one is willing to wait 5 years from now, most likely the 991.2 GT3 can be had for $50,000 under MSRP instead of over. However, no matter how much money one has, they cannot buy "time" back. Paying over MSRP to get a car for enjoyment is as close to buying "time" as one can get.
