I do not know your source for sales numbers, but I do know you can visit your local Porsche dealer and not only do they have 911 stock on hand, an order can be filled in 3 months.
I fully agree with Drifting- Who buys regular 911s these days. Any experienced high performance car owners will find them boring and souless. After multiple 911s over the years, I have zero interest in them.

Being brainwashed than only a 991.2 GT3 will bring you car nirvana is delusional.
Life is too short to dwell on bull****. Move on and enjoy all the other things life has to offer (including other cars).
